no, rockford has pretty good equipment, if you actually listen to a few setups in real life, and compare them to other brands rf will prevail. theyre amps are underrated, and the reason why the price so high is cause its quality stuff. cash comes quality. ive had several different systems, and rf has been my fav for the money. I do not like the new rf tho, some of the amps fry and the T1's and T2's start to crack with about 200 more watts than theyre RMS rating. Ive had both types.

I only do ported and vented, no sealed cause its not as loud, but it does sound cleaner and deeper depending on the box. The box my bro got with his 15" HE2's has a .707 angle to it witch makes the notes deeper, but the box is 3.28 cubes each slot. he has a 1000 mono Cadence TXA-10001 Mono bd amp to em, they hit pretty hard in his explorer. i hate the sealed tho
