It is bristle worm. They are a very helpful part to a reef tank. They work all day to clean up leftover food and detritus in your tank. Not bad at all :)
@WWpictures100 yes, they can kill fish he killed my entire livestock except for my clowns, damsels, shrimp, and snail it sucked because it was $150 worth of fish.
dude, how you paid for this.. lol... Because I have it for free in my tank.. I went to catch this specie with a net.. Till today, I have never bought a saltwater fish, btw.. I fish them all.
Bad wooorm all way across the sky! It's so intense! Double bad worm getting eaten by shrimp OMG! Man it almost looks like a triple bad worm!! Oooooh, it's so intense!
Living stones are harvested from natural coral reefs..so there are all sorts of organisms and(or their eggs in it. Buing living stones is like getting a surprise :D . Some organisms show up more often than others though. E.g. worms like these.
@FlintSparkedStudios In reef tanks you start with "live rock" - this is rock that has all kinds of stuff living in it - worms among them....snails, sponges etc. Sometimes the worms just show up as part of the rock when you first put it into the tank.
Not sure why this guy is so excited: thats a beneficial bristle worm being torn apart by a coral banded shrimp (not a cleaner, as he says).
awsome sounds like ali vs frazer commetry... that's a bad little ali OH look at frazer hes gona tear up ALI OH thats my ALI thats my FRAZER cought in the rocks Oh zoom in on him wow thats my boy there LOL
@HavePride1 Also known as a boxer shrimp, i have one of these in my 55 gal saltwater tank. My little boxer cleans my huge pink hairy rock...they are all "cleaners" just not named so lol
I know it's been said, but this is a beneficial worm. They eat detritus and leftover fish food and help keep our tanks clean. Large worms can be a problem but it takes a long time to get that size. Fish will easily recover from the bristles. My orchid dottyback eats the worm and always gets an eyeful but is fine in a couple of weeks.
On a side note...the coral banded shrimp actually IS a cleaner shrimp. Search YouTube "Coral Banded Shrimp Cleaning Yellow Tang" to see a video of it.
mate that bristleworm is small compared to my one thats over 12" they way your going on you would think it was a giant lmfao hahahaha but i like your clowns mate there nice
@sclucas7 Hi lucas. I have a question. So far I have seen 5 bristle worms in my tank and I do not want them. hehehehe.... I was thinking about what would be the best thing to do without affecting my fish. I mean I have a cleaner shrimp and I would like to keep it safe. So far I have seen the arrow crabs and the coral banded shrimp..... do you have any experience with this two bristle eaters? What would be the best way to kill the bristle worms without affecting my cleaner shrimp. Thank you
@sclucas7 You are right, they are beneficial for your tank but they actually can harm the other animals in your tank. Bristle worms can inject their bristles into other animals. It's happened to me when I move my rocks :(
i call it a boxxer shrimp ? haha
and mine eats massive river shrimp... there hard basterds lol
and that worms tiny :L
