The aero glass theme feature is there you just got to install the Desktop Experience feature and enable the Themes service in the Services management console (services.msc)
everybody just to let you know i thaught the same thing you all did about vista i got my new pc yesterday and what did you know service pack 2 came out and fixed all the major bugs
No, it wasn't. You're just a parrot that imitates other parrots. The main problems with Vista were caused by Nvidia and ATI. But even if Windows 7 was released instead, you would have had the same problems with that kind of lousy driver support. Plus people are used to XP and would hate everything about 7. Windows 7 is just Vista SP1 with a few extras.
I've been an Cobol, RPG II/III and programmer for many years and for you to think that being a software engineer should give you any good understanding of what a good operating system is makes me seriously doubt your qualifications.
Also the fact that you seem to lack any counter arguments and only can come up with a childish comment like "Microsoft Fanboy", just confirms my suspicion.
@tommyjones1978 I've been running Vista X64 since SP1 and I haven't any serious problems with it. As a matter of fact, I even had Windows 7 X64 installed and went back to Vista, because on the same hardware I was experiencing issues that I never had on Vista. That doesn't mean that Windows 7 is bad, it just means that it didn't work for me.
@tommyjones1978 Btw, mr. "software engineer" (just call yourself programmer, because that's what it is); I work in the IT since '87, you were still 9 and getting dressed for school and fed by your mother at that time...do I need to say more?
As of last week we had nearly 40 million error reports
