I am considering using the 7D for some short films, given that it looks amazing and I can get the nice shallow dof that I could never get with my prosumer camcorders. I have seen one video online that was at one time projected in theaters and apparently it looked pretty good. However, I wonder how high I could get with the ISO before it became unusable for the big screen. I would definitely clean it up as you have done with your clips. Any suggestions on a good cut off point for the ISO?

@BradmBallew well, for me atleast, most commercial uses of the 7d's cut off is 1600 iso which I completely agree with. I run 1600 iso and it can get a little noisy in dark situations but always cleans up nice. if you're going to shoot a film your going to have plenty of lights anyhow so there should be no need to go above 800 really. (which would also be a suggestion)

What is the color space of the 7D and 5D MKII?

Do you think 5D is going to have mkIII, with full frame sensor and also support 24 25 30P in 1080?

4:2:2. I do think there will be another 5D revision, if it were to come later this year I wouldn't be suprised if they found a way to add 1080p 60. I seriously hope they improve their current pixel binning video capture though.

i can see some blur on the edge, more contrast and saturated video at 0:24 after being processed. Im just wondering if thats just guassian blur from post production package, or it's straight out of the camera. If its straight out of the camera, also I would like to know whats the difference between adjusting/color grading the video with package like After Effects and just process the video with this function.

Blur on the edges was added as an extra effect with magic bullet. I made a custom preset with edge blur. Noise reduction with neat video was done first
