Just a pointer: Red Hot Kick slowed down and zoomed-in works WONDERS on his first form. No joke; it only took about 2-3 hits to beat him with that.

Alastor is such a great character. Not only is he an awesome homage to Devil May Cry, but he's also one of the most likable bosses. It's a shame that Capcom has made a running gag of Alastor "dying" after every fight with Joe... "Help a brother out!"

You can damage Alastor A LOT more if you don't combine RHOH with Slow-Mo.

Does the Alastor sword in DMC1 have this guy's spirit contained in it? If so than it also holds Dante's heart. They have the same attacks, only Dante is cooler.

Yes, Alastor is the devil that animated Dante's Alastor sword. Though I think Dante kept his heart. There's another set of videos that have the scene between the two of them from the PS2 version of VJ1.

Capcom owns Viewtiful Joe, and they're the one's who disbanded Clover. So we're pretty much at the mercy of Capcom's development team until they decide to give him a new game.

However, it seems that they do care about Joe since they stuck him in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

dude in the beginning, when alastor starts with stinger, you can just duck. you wont get hit. as long as alastor is on the ground, you can avoid stinger by just ducking. it helps, especially with the time factor.
