  • akoy isang pinoy na matapang

  • wow hes a brilliant fish

  • Nice lionfish !!!

  • thank you for putting that fish back in the ocean hes ok because they are originally from those seas, but i would have pet it, i just love this fish they are sooo cool

    !!!

  • @mannurko I keep several tanks with lionfish and I've been stung on accident while doing tank maintenance. When I was done vomiting I drove myself to the hospital for a tetanus shot. So I mean ... pet them if you want, but you better make sure you're up to date on your vaccinations first. Unless you're allergic. Then it won't matter because you'll be dead. =D

  • man i hope you put it him in a tank, dont tell me you killed him, only a dummass would kill a 100$ fish

  • This is the right way to do :)

  • you should have pet it =D

  • He was Probably following You Because He was interested in Humans He may of never seen before But Now He will never Follow Humans Again Cos He will be afraid next time you see a fish following you you should try get really Close and seem friendly so he will Like Humans

Dont Wanna Sound Like a HAter Sorry

  • @iCantTinkOfaGudName I once spoke to a very wise park ranger who said that your brand of logic is the reason why wild animals are shot for attacking humans. Don't get me wrong, I love lionfish. I keep several and they're spoiled rotten. But I wouldn't want an overly affectionate lionfish coming up to me in the ocean for a quick cuddle.

  • @iCantTinkOfaGudName Wow, you have lots of misconceptions about fish.

  • @drgnfrc13 Not really. Im a well experienced fishkeeper. I am Very interested in them and have studied them for a very long time now. If you read up some about lakes that have never had divers and boats going around you can see that the fish do not swim away, they come up close to them.

You probably know alot aswell but im just saying. :)

  • @iCantTinkOfaGudName I have well over a decade of fishkeeping experience, as well (I think I'm at around 12 years now), so I've been at it long enough to know that fish do not "like," or "dislike," anything or anyone, and common sense would lead me to believe that having "friendly," lion fish would not exactly be something to celebrate anyway (it would end badly for both humans and the fish).

  • tagalog

  • Ganda ah, kayu lang ang nakakuha nito?

  • thats american lion fish bahamian lion fish are red with those long fins on its back way more creepy looking

  • NICE wild lion fish even petstore sell wild lion fish or tank raised lion fish is this water very warm for the wild lion fish? u should have kept it home so u can raised it and the lion fish can lay eggs so that it has baby and now u can have a tank raised lion fish that will be so cool?

  • theyre diminishing the seas fish population in reefs. its a real big problem

  • @URmothersLOVER1

thats only in one area where they got introduced.

  • kill thaat little fucker!

  • they are over populateing the ocean kill that fish

  • Nice Lion fish.

  • kamusta

  • haha can you imagine they sell these at petco

  • is this in the philippines?

  • yup :)

  • y did u let it go? keep it nextime they cost $60

  • it should be call tiger fish..

  • ya that's what I always thought

  • well i was told by divers to stay away from the coral due to lionfish and other fish. they said lion fish can paralyse or kill you. ive rather take their advice!

  • Divers aren't scientists... a lion fish can give a nasty sting but it's not going to kill you.

Perhaps it's more like a bee, to some people a bee sting is nothing but to a few it is deadly.

That doesn't keep you away from the flowers, though- so shouldn't keep you from appreciating corals and all the beauty and other fish.

  • it thinks now:

    where the f.. i am?

  • the lionfish is a killer. It stays in the coral but if disturbed it stings and is said to paralyse and possibly kill in 5 minutes, i have been told this by various diving instructers. It should be left alone where it belongs, poor thing. I really dont think you were stung by one- you would have been hospitalised in one way or another!

  • lol uh.. not a human... lionfish's venom isnt strong enough to hospitolize you. of course there are many species of lionfish, and everyone is different but most of them arnt strong enough to hospitolize a human

  • i've been stung, its less than a bee sting. who ever told you that is wrong

  • That is NOT a stone fish and they do NOT look similar at all. They look completely different. A stone fish looks like a dirty rock. Hence the name.

  • @beachbumforever A stonefish is camo-d in with the STONES on the ground, and catches passerby fish. A lionfish is called that because the spines resemble a mane.

  • ive been poked by a lionfish wen i was little. I stuck my finger in the tank. I didnt think it was sharp i thought it was soft lol. It was at one of my old friends aquatic center...Adam's Aquatics the firer fighters came...lol my finger hurt really bad and I was bleeding xD. They made me eat some tablet?!!?!?

    haha

  • lol that's a funny story :)

  • wow, it's amazing, good thing you put it back were it belongs!

  • Next time I hope you get a little prick from it and experience the feeling of being kicked in the chest continously

  • threw it back? you should have sold it to a fish store, those guys are invading the cost line eating all the local small fish. you would have done the world a favor, but its okay, I forgive you this one time. :P nice lookin fish tho. :) looked like fun

  • hah yeah right

  • filipino kayo????

  • yup

  • yeah those fish a spreading every where i heard that even on south america have been reported they just literary exploded through time

  • In Florida on the Atlantic side, they said that they have reported Lionfish, when really, they aren't supposed to be here, as you probably already know.

  • those fish are becoming a menace in the caribbean they can cause serious damage to the ecosystem there presence have been reported on the east side of Puerto Rico (my country) near Icaco island and they gonna spread more in the caribbean

  • This is one of the most beauitful fish I've seen, it makes me sad to see them in pet stores though. Dont get me wrong I love aquariums, its my most favorite hobby, but I only gee fish that are for aquariums only and not taken from their home.

  • u realize u just dumped a $150 fish back into the ocean-

  • There are things far more valuable than cash.

  • yea maybe there beautiful but They R eATIN ALL THe little baby fish and all fish start as Babies so youll see in like 10 years There will be no more fish because of those fuckn lionfish eatin al the fish those fukn assholes

  • There is a natural order in nature so I wouldnt worry about lion fish finishing off all the other fish lol it would be quite an impossible feat for them, actually. However, fish probably will be gone in ten years time but it will be because of HUMANS.

  • yea stani

  • filipinos are soooo sexy lol where you speaking tagaleg to?? i think i spelled that right

  • it's tagalog. lol

  • Hey kids lets pet it

  • Ang cute!!!

  • No, they aren't poisonous, they are venomous, I own one actually. I researched them for about a year before the purchase, so yeah. And by the way, they CAN be deadly, but only if you are severely allergic. It is about the same as a bee sting, which can also be deadly.

  • ACTUALLY anything that could kill or do you harm is called a poison. It is then categorized as venom if it comes from an animal... there are all sorts of definitions and terms, but it would not be entirely incorrect to say that something like a jellyfish is poisonous. :)

  • Well, I read wrong. Upon reresearching (yeah) you happen to be correct. So thanks for the info!

  • thats cool im filipio too

  • how did you catch that. those are posion.

  • just some info for ya... poison is ingested... venom is injected.. therefore they are venomous

  • are u filipino?

  • half british, half filipino

  • Its a good thing no one touched it, and that you released it.

I have a 90ga Saltwater tank in the living room, so I don't totally aggree with the part about they don't belong in an aquarium. I think any fish should be left in the ocean, but can be used for aquariums if the tank is big enough, clean enough, and fed properly.

beautiful lionfish though, wish I could've seen it. :)

  • I actually like aquariums, they can be so beautiful... but I also have a conservationist mindset and believe animals are better left alone. Also, where I am from, fish are obtained illegally with sionide and it destroys the corals... so that's where I'm coming from. :)

  • yea, aquariums r nice if you know how to care for one. I allways double check at my store to make sure the fish arent cyanide caught, and they get most of their fish from breeders too.

  • haha I knew I spelt that wrong lol

Anyway, that's good that you check... I used to know people that were in the business and they made the most beautiful aquariums... but I heard that some of their corals&fish were obtained illegally. :(

    Impressive aquariums, tho.

  • I agree with kafeene.

  • right on man... when video started i thought u were torturing it but then read that you released it =D

  • i can see why u wouldnt want it to be in an aquarium but with the right care and a big aquarium they can be very happy studdies have shown that some fish actually live longer in aquariums and are healthyer than in the sea!!

  • Well of course they would be healthier in an aquarium, they are fed regularly and dont have to worry about survival.

...but that isnt the point, is it? :)

  • so what is the point? isnt what u want for them to be happy?

  • hmmm... didnt think you'd be as silly to come up with a reply like that.

    It's not about happiness lol

It's about the natural order of things...

just use common sense, animals in a zoo are better fed and live longer lives, but they are better off in the wild. Any conservationist, zoologist, scientist etc will tell you that.

  • Do these girls know that lion fishes are poisonous?? I would not bring them so close to that kid or any of the girls...one sting and it could kill within 48 hours, just a heads up so next time be a little careful swimming around them!

  • Yes we know it's poisonous, a sting would be extremely painful, but not deadly. I told all the kids watching to leave it well alone if ever they see it again.

  • theyre not that poisonous ive been stung by mine and the ones i work with loads...just like a wasp sting pour on vinegar and the alkaline venome in neutralised and rendered harmless...or hot water works too

  • What part of the Philippines is this?

  • San Jose, Occidental Mindoro

  • thats awesome!!!

  • its tiny

  • why is it in a bucket?

  • read what I said at top... we caught it since it was following us around... then we let it go right away as you can see at the end of the vid.

  • Incredible lionfish!

  • It lives in saltwater.
