@desertshore You're right - it is sort of like a comic book. But this film scares me, and I don't like it. Edie seems so high on amphetamines or something at the time - high in a BAD way. Apparently, she would be like this sometimes. Her outburst, though scripted, is outrageous in a very twisted way. Poor Edie. You can really see that this girl was slipping closer and closer towards the abyss, towards her death. And she was too far gone by the time they shot The Andy Warhol Story.

I might be wrong now (so forgive me), but I'm sure Norman Mailer reviewed this once upon a time. He said it looked like nobody seemed to know what the hell they were doing, that they were being 'fed' lines by someone lurking underneath the table, and that Edie's legs dominated the screen shot for most of it! Reading that just made me laugh. The poor man must not have had a clue what was happening either!

you're welcome, hun! u read the entire script for this?? where? wasn't it written by ronald tavel? (who in '66 wrote a script for a flick called "Space," which E ripped up bcuz it 'made no sense,' after which she was banished from the Factory)

i take that back, it was called "Shower" (not "Space) - it was a two-person script set in a shower stall lol. i can totally see how E wouldn'tv'e gone for that particular concept, i'm sure @ that point she felt she deserved better than a shower stall as a setting . . .

I read it was mainly Chuck Wein who persuaded Edie to believe 'Shower' was below her, but I can't imagine her in a film like that either. It's interesting that Edie, with all her exhibitionism, never did any of the 'risque' Warhol films. I think some of the less appealing and more attention hungry superstars needed that to draw attention to themselves, but Edie didn't.

yay thank u! cuz i can never really make out what they are saying...but do u have any that are just black and white? cuz some parts its hard to see details and whats going on when it changes to a dark purple colour or something

it's not cuz of the color, sweety, that's how it really looks. quality was lo in the early edie flicks, and she is being blindingly overlit in both this & 'Beauty #2" - actually the color sometimes brings out MORE detail lol. and if i DO put "dark prurple' in a given spot, trust me, there wasn't something there to see ;)
