  • For all you guys having problems with this working right as shown in the vid: Premiere CS4 has a known bug with the Track Matte Key effect...it doesn't work! (I know, it's a crazy thing for Adobe to have missed). Just go to the software updater and update Premiere, and presto - it will work.

  • How do you blur out a section of the screen?

  • you are great guys..it was really helpful...

  • I followed every step, but my problem is that the mosaic surrounds the white square which is still on the image. Any suggestions

  • PLZ HELP ME!

how do u do that thing in 1:05?

  • can I also do this with abobe premiere 7 ?

  • is there a free program that can do this ???

  • Is the pitch a plugin?

  • I'm liking this.

  • Thanx :-D

  • plz tel me how to track a face in a video and change it with for example the hulk face??

  • Ive been trying to figure this out all day now and about to give up. Please help lolll how do you blur moving around around objects, people...etc in the clip? Please make a video tutorial.

  • @NatDede im workin on it now

  • Just what I needed..thankyou :)

  • THANK YOU!

  • thanx dude, you save my life :D

  • WOO!!! im the 110 person to fav this video!!!

  • there seems to be a common problem with this in CS4, I'm wondering if this can be done in after effects instead for those having trouble in premier.

  • is there any reason why when i try do this it seems to work but then suddenly the background image as well goes mosaic which jumps in it and out. i cant find any explaination why

  • how do i blur a moving face with keyframes

could someone explain how it works or send a good tut. and how do i remove the blurring of the entire screen when it isn't needed

  • Thanks but what if the object you want to blur is moving?

  • Thank you! :D

  • how would i animate it like if the person is moving?

  • move it with keyframes

select the clip, look at Effect Controls -> Motion -> position.

Make a keyframe @ position, move it to your preferred position, make another keyframe, repeat as many times as wanted. =)

  • @bbabybry you would cut the image, frame by frame and move it around depending on where thier face is.

  • How do you do it if the subject is moving? Thanks

  • nice dude. helped me out.

  • hey i need your help, I don';t get what i'm doing wrong. I'm track matteing the title over my footage but instead of it blurring over my object it just creates a shape over it and then the rest of the footage is pitch black. Any ideas?

  • Great job! Worked perfectly and it was easy to understand! Thanks!

  • Great job guys. I love it! Thanks.

  • it works if face is in same position all video, but how blur moving face?

(and no its not for porn)

  • Use motion with keyframes to move layer 3.

  • i also noticed that i'm using cs4 rather than cs3, although i doubt there should be much difference

  • @ulaenyth20 i'm following the same steps, and it doesn't work for me neither. i am also using CS4 not CS3, maybe this only works for CS3. i suppose it has to be done differently on CS4 ... any ideas? anyone?

  • i did everything that was said. seemed simple enough.. but it only makes the box disappear and all of video 2 remains mosaic. i used both mosaic and the track matte key... chose video 3... and then the box in video 3 disappears... wtf

  • @ulaenyth20

same problem here too, did you get it to work?

  • What program do you use for this?!?!?!?!!?

  • Adobe Premiere

  • Adobe Premier Pro

  • can somebody please help! I am using premier portable and I am not able to move the objects to fit the place where it blurs. I try moving it with keyframs but it doesn't work

  • can u do that in movie maker??

  • you cant

  • thank you!!!! i couldve been sued

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!! i forgot to blue the actual footage

  • Thank you SO much. It worked amazing. Just so you know it works on Adobe Premiere Elements as well as Pro.

    Cheers!

  • After 44 seconds, the blur effect takes over the entire frame instead of just a part. What am I doing wrong??

  • I couldn't figure it out but I had the same problem. So, instead of using this trick with titles, I instead ended up cropping the 2nd layer (Video) to just surround the face and then applied a mosaic effect to the cropped layer. This was really easy.

  • Very helpful vid! Will you upload another how to for keyframed moving blurs?

  • great post.... very cool!!!!

  • thank you so much!

  • lol funny qtuote
