scoobys a great information source but i have to call bull the figures he says.Pro Bodybuilders are at 5-6 %BF in contest shape,7 % is waaaay too low for a normal person,actually different sources give 8 % as minimum BF that can be maintained year round.There are lot of ppl with 14 % and very visible 6pack.Anything under 10% is phenomenal and very hard to maintain all year even for a ectomorph with high metabolism.Also it depends on how big ur ab muscles are,BB have abs at 20 % BF
@Hi5Gymnast Yeah, don't work out at your age mate, just concentrating on eating good, bu if you intend to workout, don't eat junk in your younger years as that is worse than eating junk when actually working out. :)

I do about 25-30 mins cardio everyday and im not obese.i just hear many people say, do abs everyday, then others every second day, do i do it based on how sore i feel? I work abs for 20-25 mins. And i love your videos, great inspiration, i love that you do this to help people not just quick cash.
So I today I did a very accurate way of determining bodyfat. Though I am classified as "Moderately Lean" I *still* need to lose 10 lbs before I am even close to six pack abs. Guess I better get to to work!
i have 8 pack abs thanks to scooby :) all i did was reduce my portion intake.(i eat 5 meals a day.) and do a bit more cardio. with a combination of 1 hour weight lifting and ab workouts 5 times a week.. you're the best advice giver Scooby

i swim from 6 am to 7 am, workout for an hour after, then workout and play water polo from 3 30 to 5 30. im skinny. and i dont have a six pack. i really hope im apart of that 5 % that just needs to do more ab workouts!
question: you say you need max 7 pounds of fat in order to see your abs...but will your abs be more visuable if you train them? or will they stay basicly the same?
@Alesandros356 he said 7%-12% fat, he is talking about percentage. once you are there, you can start doing ab excersises to make your abs stronger and bigger

@Slaterking2010 My point is that when you had your visible abs, your body fat % was probably really low with small amt of muscle. Now that your body fat is not too low, you may feel healthier. The reason you don't see your abs anymore is because most weight you gained is fat instead of muscle. But stick to whatever makes you content

the people who say scoobys voice is annoying and his face is ugly, they can say all they want about his voice, or his face, but either are IRRELEVANT to bodybuilding. they can't find anything wrong with what scooby is preaching, why? because SCOOBY is giving the FACTS. I think they are just the people who dont want to believe that gaining muscle is a SLOW process that takes dedication, and not some 90 day product. Ok I been working on my abs for months!!! I have 7% body fat I do caddie I work out dif ab work outs I rest them I drink protien I cut sugar I cut junk food I did everything that anyone would tell u to do and I still don't have them? Which is really depressing cuz I am working out x10 harder then my friends and they all have abs what am I doing wrong ?
@Colho5 abs are like any other muscle, you need to challenge them with weight before they grow. doin 100s of situps wont get you anywhere. doweighted legs raises and weighted crunches give 3-4 days rest and repeat. hope it helps
that not exactly true, i've reduced my calories dramatically before and i never lost strength or size. There's so many methods of weight loss that work, try them all out. I stick with After burn training personally. Thanks for all the videos scoob.

during my freshman year of high school i was very skinny but did not have any abs, my body fat throughout high school has easily stayed below 10% because of metabolism as a teenager, during my summer i worked my abs and they developed into a six pac (only when i flexed) so i am still working at it but just posting this for any super skinny guy to read you will need to build more muscle
@Claire000001 A bit. Women have slower metabolisms than men so you have to calculate your BMR in order to properly manage your diet. If you burn 1700 calories per day, for example, you have to eat 1300-1400 to lose weight.
i was 5.5 body fat percentage. But i never worked them out ad it seemed like i had just 1 line going down. So now i workout my abs really hard and its showing more so HIT UR ABS

@WinterFrostyFreezy Well, you need to know your height, but yes it is. You only being 13 though is why you can only kind see it. Working out your core plus have low percent of body fat is better.
I'm 15 and 5'8", weigh in at 145 and only 6.5% percent body fat. The past 6 months I've been doing extensive exercises and lifting because of football and I couldn't even see my abs when I was at about 8%. When I started lifting, my abs have gotten bigger and now I don't have to flex them anymore.
hi scooby! im 164cm/57kg woman and id like to have sixpack. my fat percent is 20, so i've about 11kg of fat. is it enough that i lose 10kg of fat, so that my fat percent is about 15, or do i have to get my fat percent to 7 that i can see my sixpack?

LISTEN GUYS if you train 5 days a week ( make sure you have 2 rest days coz that is good for your abs ) . For the most peaple with a normal body it takes about 1 to 3 months before you'll see any results of ur abs.
I think that upping your metabolism would also be very helpful. I've been doing some heavy workouts, which raise my metabolism. Then I can eat to my heart's content and still lose fat, while at the same time gaining muscle.
Scooby, there is a guy name Micheal Chang on youtube who says that you can get ripped in 10 minutes and you do not need to do cardio to lose weight. What do you think about that? i know it has to be BS but he sounds quite convincing.....

Cool video Scooby. Dieting does not work. For me to stay pretty thin, i had to make sacrifices, daily cardio, and change my lifestyle. but i love it, so worth it.

@TxStroke23 Well it's actually 8 pack, but my point is that 6 foot at 155 isn't heavy, unless you're very slim. What you need to do is to start doing cardio and have fun with it. Jog or swim for about 40-60 minutes a day and you'll be fine. Don't over do it. 5or6 /7 days
Eat healthy, not perfect. The change doesn't happen overnight.
Your body will then be ready for muscle building. I think people start out too heavy without a base cardio.
@michwng Yes I am pretty slim, but basically I'm trying to become more muscle than fat. Right now I'm more on the weaker side with high body fat %. Ive seen where you find your BMR and drop that by 500 calories a day and you lose a pound a week. Would that apply to me in my situation, because I'm trying to lose fat. Will cutting down on the calories, but continuing to eat healthy and workout be okay?
@TxStroke23 You're starting out, so counting calories could hurt you. If you're in high school, I suggest joining a sports team of any kind to get a base. You cannot heathily lose a pound a week... unless its waterweight. Trust me, fat is not your enemy. The only time you need to lose fat is when you're "cutting/toning". Use your fat to fuel your baseline exercise. The best thing for the next few months is changing your eating and exercising habits little by little.
@Lorenna1234 if your stomach is flat just do sit ups. if they dont show add some weight into the equation. take a weight plate and put it behind your head and do sit ups.other than that, do as scooby said and drop 20% off your cal. but no more!
Are u making these videos , to show people your progress to a six pack abs while ur trying to get a 6 pack , a the moment u have like a 4 but with bodyfat , keep training and u will reach it!
how many peopl;e have i heard saying reduce but reduce belly what workout... do some cardio !!!!! or circuit training or boxercise or zumba anything that gets your heart racing and you keep it at maximum heart rate and intensity for your age and do it 3 times a week for 45 minutes or longer your going to BURN through your fat!!!!!!! and dont eat crap portion control people portion control!!! loose 14pounds in a month wiht what i just told you -_-

i was 5.5 body fat percentage. But i never worked them out ad it seemed like i had just 1 line going down. So now i workout my abs really hard and its showing more so HIT UR ABS

@WinterFrostyFreezy Well, you need to know your height, but yes it is. You only being 13 though is why you can only kind see it. Working out your core plus have low percent of body fat is better.
I'm 15 and 5'8", weigh in at 145 and only 6.5% percent body fat. The past 6 months I've been doing extensive exercises and lifting because of football and I couldn't even see my abs when I was at about 8%. When I started lifting, my abs have gotten bigger and now I don't have to flex them anymore.

@Hater999999999 BMI is bullshit dude. My BMI is like 26, but my real bodyfat is 17. BMI goes by weight and not muscle mass/bone size.

hi scooby! im 164cm/57kg woman and id like to have sixpack. my fat percent is 20, so i've about 11kg of fat. is it enough that i lose 10kg of fat, so that my fat percent is about 15, or do i have to get my fat percent to 7 that i can see my sixpack?

@elisababie "The precise bodyfat level you need to obtain to see 6-pack abs will vary between 7% and 12% depending on the size of your abs and where your body stores its bodyfat. I'd rather tell people 7% and have them pleasantly surprised when the get their 6-pack earlier than expected rather than tell them 12% and have them depressed when they get down to 12% and still don't have abs."

LISTEN GUYS if you train 5 days a week ( make sure you have 2 rest days coz that is good for your abs ) . For the most peaple with a normal body it takes about 1 to 3 months before you'll see any results of ur abs.

I think that upping your metabolism would also be very helpful. I've been doing some heavy workouts, which raise my metabolism. Then I can eat to my heart's content and still lose fat, while at the same time gaining muscle.

Scooby, there is a guy name Micheal Chang on youtube who says that you can get ripped in 10 minutes and you do not need to do cardio to lose weight. What do you think about that? i know it has to be BS but he sounds quite convincing.....

So basically you are saying by me playing basketball once a day for 30 minutes and exercising my arms and shoulders, my hidden six pack will become visible? I must say I just started exercising with weights, and I'm pretty skinny, being only 5'10 and 138 pounds. So by doing that, it should be pretty easy to get abs right? Cool video Scooby. Dieting does not work. For me to stay pretty thin, i had to make sacrifices, daily cardio, and change my lifestyle. but i love it, so worth it.

Can someone PLEASE help me. I'm kinda skinny fat, I'm not in denial or anything haha but I'm just a little flabby. Im about 6 foot and 155 pounds. If I flex you can see the outline of a 4 pack, but you can also see the flab hanging over it if you get what i mean. I want to be chizzled, and I've began eating healthy and working out. How much time do you think it will take for me to get a six pack if I continue eating healthy (low sugar, sodium, fats, etc. LOTS of protein) Should I run everyday?

@TxStroke23 Well it's actually 8 pack, but my point is that 6 foot at 155 isn't heavy, unless you're very slim. What you need to do is to start doing cardio and have fun with it. Jog or swim for about 40-60 minutes a day and you'll be fine. Don't over do it. 5or6 /7 days
Eat healthy, not perfect. The change doesn't happen overnight.
Your body will then be ready for muscle building. I think people start out too heavy without a base cardio.

@michwng Yes I am pretty slim, but basically I'm trying to become more muscle than fat. Right now I'm more on the weaker side with high body fat %. Ive seen where you find your BMR and drop that by 500 calories a day and you lose a pound a week. Would that apply to me in my situation, because I'm trying to lose fat. Will cutting down on the calories, but continuing to eat healthy and workout be okay?

@TxStroke23 You're starting out, so counting calories could hurt you. If you're in high school, I suggest joining a sports team of any kind to get a base. You cannot heathily lose a pound a week... unless its waterweight. Trust me, fat is not your enemy. The only time you need to lose fat is when you're "cutting/toning". Use your fat to fuel your baseline exercise. The best thing for the next few months is changing your eating and exercising habits little by little.

@Lorenna1234 if your stomach is flat just do sit ups. if they dont show add some weight into the equation. take a weight plate and put it behind your head and do sit ups.other than that, do as scooby said and drop 20% off your cal. but no more!

how many peopl;e have i heard saying reduce but reduce belly what workout... do some cardio !!!!! or circuit training or boxercise or zumba anything that gets your heart racing and you keep it at maximum heart rate and intensity for your age and do it 3 times a week for 45 minutes or longer your going to BURN through your fat!!!!!!! and dont eat crap portion control people portion control!!! loose 14pounds in a month wiht what i just told you -_-
