I will never watch an Andy rerun again... never did watch Matlock and always thought Happy Days was kind of stupid, especially in the later seasons. It takes very little time to really mess things up. GWB had 8 years. Obama isn't going to undo it in 1 -2 years.

Obama has done what he can constitutionally (reach out to other nations, priorities of the military, transparency in executive branch)

needs congress for most of the things he wants (Gays in Mil, finance & healthcare reform, undoing NCLB, ....)

Even 3rd parties are offering more of the same.

I hate GWB gov, but some policies should not be killed outright.

I can still "vote with my feet." Remember the reaction Jane Fonda got with her "cuddle up" with the Viet Cong? Well, after this last election I decided to boycott big celebreties who had endorsed Obama in a big way. Unfortunately, this list includes Ron Howard and Tom Hanks, both of whom I respect very much for their work. Also Oprah and her sponsors. I won't PAY to see any more Hanks or Howard films. But I sure can enjoy them on cable (not pay per view).

It is impressive on two counts - one that President Obama has activated action from celebrities like Ron Howard, Andy Griffith, and Henry Winkler who usually tend to stay out of politics, and two that these celebrities were self depricating enough to do it how they did. Ron Howard is acttually one celebrity whose public persona matches his private one. Kudos.
