I remember the PC version having different MIDI's for Level 12 and 21...is it the same for the other versions?

@KingmanIII 21 used a variation on the 12 music. Since other ports of the game don't use the MIDI music, this isn't the case.

Oh yes, I indeed remember playing this game. The Super Hulk at level 7 scared me... Which lead me to hiding in the Red Door passage. That was my ticket to death, as the Smart Missiles that exploded on the walls were just the start of a rampage of Plasma Balls.

Several weeks later, I decided to take it in it's own arena (And succeed), and further in proceeded to Level 12. Ah, that level, I remember replaying it many times just for the music... And the challenge...

@Vector27X - yes, the Super Hulk scared me too, so much! I was traumatized by Descent but so compelled to keep going.  Especially with awesome music tracks like this one.

I remember when I was a trainee and I found the cheats because I couldn't defeat the Level 7 boss, then I just did level warp to see if I could do the higher levels without any other cheats, and I could do levels 8, 9 and 11 but 10 was extreme and 12 was impossible. First time I properly defeated Level 7, I only had one shield point left. Those were the good old days when I was on the 6DOF learning curve.

Yeah, this is one of the hardest levels... full of Medium and Heavy Hulks, plus the Plasma and Vulcan Drillers just sap your shields away...yet such a great music for the level.

I used to redo this level more than any other just for how awesome the music (game was awesome too of course) is on this level thanks so much for posting it. Brings back memories. *tear*
