I'm coming up on four years. I had teeth pulled, head gear, and two surgeries. I need one more surgery (once the braces are off) possibly braces back on after that, and then retainers. Fortunately, my braces don't bother me much. It's been so long that it's just part of who I am. I am ready to lose them though...

congrats! i had my braces for 2 years and i was really used to them, they didn't really bother me, just felt like an extension of myself.

once i got them off i didn't miss them for a second :)
