This brutal murder of the African Elephants has to stop. Go kill all the ones in Asia where they are overpopulated like their people. People and animals follow the same trends for their regions. Africa is starving and sparsely populated, Asia is densely population along with its animals. We need to focus more effort to reduce herds in asia so that the earth can find homeostasis. This is no joke, it is a fact all over the world that asian elephant can spread "the final disease" to end our race!!
@mayimbin stop viewing these vids then...just a suggestion. Maybe vids such as war, torture, obesity etc could be right up your alley...you know being an american an all....
I adore elephants and am NOT a supporter of sport hunting. However I understand the need for food. As you said nothing is wasted. If an animal must die that is the way it should be. The other video of the mercy killing made me aware that not all hunters are uncaring. Your words of it not being for sport were amazing.
@CatpurrRobertaBobbi There are also significant fees involved and much of that money goes to wildlife management and preserves. It sounds cruel on the surface but in really poor areas these hunts feed people and provide funds to preserve them for future generations. Given the general state of countries in Africa they manage to do a surprisingly good job with wildlife management and that is due to the money provided by hunters. One hunt can pay several park rangers for a yr or more.
That meat looks delicious. How long does it last the villagers?
How often do you hunt elephants? Do you hunt any elephant in sight or are there rules on which elephants you can hunt? Like only males or females etc?
Do other elephants in the herd try to charge at you when you shoot them?
@RedmanOutfitters That jello like substance that pored out of the tusk is the nerve of the trunk. The size of the nerve often factors into the final weight of the ivory.
Buck ? do you know how thick the skin from a elephant is ? i would like to know if it could be possible to make leather from it to make knife sheath or something.
@hanzithaking It's about an inch thick. They shave it down to a workable thickness. I have several items made from elephant skin. It's a beautiful, durable leather that will outlast me.
wow

Hey Buck, what are the rules concerning the tusks? Are you able to keep them as a trophy or are there laws against taking them home?
Mako561 9 months ago
@Mako561 The meat went to the tribe. The tusks and skin etc: belongs to the hunter.
