  • That's right... Feed them trolls. XD

  • lol. well filipinos are stilll way better in sweeping american floors with their goddamn faces :)

  • my inglish iss nat gooood :(

  • @MHB3289 oo pare, tawag jan AMERICAN ACCENT.

  • hello, fuckers... you know, i just got very impressed when i've heard those accents from these filipinos, very well spoken but, i wish the US customers would have the same skilled agents, because... i work for a call center in Colombia, and everytime that a customer praises my accent and my english and tells me that, is a joy for them to hear someone that they can finally understand, i take a look at the account history, and the previous 4 or 5 calls were taken by filipinos... so, watch out...

  • why do they have american accents ?

  • @JJDublinIreland because if they say each word clearly it sorta sounds sarcastic...plus american customers find it awkward if they have 100% perfect diction:]]

  • @JJDublinIreland I don't think so..its just neutral English. I've heard a lot of filipino call center agents who can speak like an American. You wouldn't think they're filipinos at all..

  • ang galing ng mga Filipino!

  • Call centers are employing in different ways to communicate to their clients online call center dialer should be put at usage.

  • bat ang galing nila.... =.=

  • damn, they speak gd english unlike the indians

  • oh my gosh my nose is bleeding!!!! :8=== ((

  • HOLY SH*** SANA GANITO RIN AKO MAGENGLISH... ^oo^

  • my nose...

  • Love this company coz they're WISE in disqualifying referral incentives, EXPERT in cost cutting, QUICK in salary deduction, GENIUS in minimizing allowances, SUPERB in tax deduction w/no yearly income tax return, GREAT in limiting food&beer during parties, PERFECT in insFiring employees & after 20 years of service, all you get is your last pay.

  • filipino are so good in speaking english!

  • @janelovesjbiebs30 not all..

  • I am American and work in Manila as a Call Center SOM.... Honestly they ship the jobs here because unlike the states people actually value their jobs and aren't so lazy here. Keep in mind the American demand for less expensive products.. companies have to offset the cost somewhere to meet your demands... If you wan to go back to paying $2k+ for a simple computer or laptop I am sure they would move the jobs back but until then it's actually the consumers fault ..... you are your own problem.

  • they teach u how to answer as a computer.......and enjoy insults....for only 99. a month plus a coupon to go get hambuerger descount.

  • @CONTRAVIDAA get an Education 1st dude, its very obvious that you didn't get one or you failed, we Asian's/ Filipinos get this job because most people in America are either lazy, arrogant, or Neglected Education or simply enough Neglected the grace that was theirs in the 1st place , We value work and work hard to get here. We may be from a "Third" World Country but we get know how to spell "hamburger" and FYI: We dont need coupons, because we got Cash.

  • @CONTRAVIDAA What's a descount?oh..You might say that's a typo error?? the letter i and the letter e are far away from each other on a standard keyboard not unless your keyboard is busted along with that peanut-sized organ of yours we call brain... tsk tsk tsk....Take a look at yourself first before judging others or better yet just shut up.

  • eto ang bonggang call center... ang taray magsalita... lalo na yung girl sa huli...

  • take a note for this:

For people who plans to apply in some other CALL CENTER companies please do not apply for ACSEND ASIA the interviewer is very RUDE, STUPID, SARCASTIC AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

  • I hate pldt.

  • It is so sad that its cheaper to take your operation overseas, train the people to speak english fluently and then train them in whatever field they are supposed to work in, rather than just hiring already english speaking americans. How much do these people earn a day? An american would do this job for $12 and hour - and if this is so much cheaper that it warrants taking the operation overseas and paying for all that training.... what are you paying these people?

  • Comment removed

  • @mafundzalo like 20 bucks a day

  • @mafundzalo NO, it's not a shame. It’s an opportunity 4 many people around the world 2 improve their english speaking skills. they are as qualified and as any north-american (central and south-americans are americans too) person. how many jobs do u think north-american people are given overseas? jobs that can also be 4 a local person? u don't even get to think of that. don't play the victim here, because many of u take advantage of other people in the world, even worse, exploit them.

  • @girlie294girlie I think you misunderstood my point... you are the one making $20 a day.... you are the victim, not me. I haven't personally exploited anyone, but the corporation that you are defending has.

  • @mafundzalo I don't consider myself a victim and I am very proud of what I do. It's time 2 stop stigmatizing other cultures just because u cannot see further. u don't know me, u don't pay my bills or my house to state that I make $20 a day. And I'm not defending any corporation. I'M DEFENDING PEOPLE. the agents. the ones u are judgemental about. if u think I don't get your point, then learn 2 express yourself properly without disrespecting others that don't think the same way as you want to.

  • it's a former american colony. why get surprised?

  • This is just CREEPY.

  • Filipinos are christian's? u sure about that? read your comments before posting it.

  • Customers Who Are being transfered to one rep to another, when the second rep asked for information regarding the account or their concerns, they will get mad!!!

because the first agent did not provide this information to the second rep!

and we can't help you if you wont provide you're information!!!

  • I worked four years at these places so I could save money, go to America, get a REAL JOB and exercise my SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS!!! THe politics and the dynamics in these places are insane compared to any other job!!! I'm so glad I am totally out of that crap No more creepy gay ppl or hater powertripping bosses for me! hahahaha.

  • I feel bad for the people who work at these call centers, they get extremely sick to meet up with the demands of the labor, and they are signed on into debt, so they give a contractual agreement to be in debt for training. so that you have to work off the debt before you can leave the company on good standing. its down right wrong, but those are the laws in foreign countries. USA is heading that way if they don't get their head in gear and start working a little harder.

  • @shanerenter Not all of them start out with a Bond of tens of thousands of pesos. Many don't. It really depends. You have to be on the hunt when applying at these places and also read the fine print carefully before signing. In my own case whenever I was presented with a Such and such bond for so many months I didn't sign no matter how high the offer was and looked elsewhere.

  • this is so not true!

  • i would say that i'm very frustrated at the filipinos who think they are above other filipinos when they are working at the call center.. gising pinoy bangon sa kahirapan.. wlang masama magwork sa call center pero dapat nating isipin n d habang buhay ang pagiging agent.. dpat u look ahead and build ur own identity..they go here to put up call centers cause the call centers at the america are closing.. look ahead and start to build ur busines while working

  • hello my name is Annoying, how can i srap your day ?

  • They're actors, this literally never happens.

  • First thing that gives away the cheapness of this is that the screens are CRT screens.

Real bad heat sinks and environmentally a disaster too - I feel for these guys who are probably well educated and have to put up with shit all day :(

  • Here's hoping all call centers suffer catastrophic structural collapse during a busy work day.

  • Welcome to the world of Filipinos!

pasiklaban, pataasan, payabangan, siraan atbp... (as you can see in the posts here)

  • Self-imposed ignorance? Not so clear A native may make several guesses at what you mean but wouldn't know for sure exactly what you're trying to say here.

Face it. The Filipinos can not and will never speak American English and the Americans who call the callcenter are going to be forced to do a lot of guess work and VERY frustrated at doing so. Why? Because the Filipino callcenter agents are work cheaply.

  • It's seems that I've stirred up the hornet's nest. Sorry, filipinocallcenter, my statements here are not from igrnorance. Instead, they are facts I've learned from years of firsthand observations. For you to try to deny it is ignorance on your part. And to goodtimesbob, your statements are not relevant and are uncalled for.

  • haha call center work sucks. I know because I work in one. They make it look like everyone is just loving their job.

  • go to search the internet to cure you of your self-imposed ignorance @bancaoman

  • great. i just don't understand why some people would still besmirch one of the drivers of their economy. let me just say that though the filipino call center industry is not perfect, it has gone a long way from what it was. in fact, the mere fact that it has now overtaken india as a the BPO capital of the world should be something to be proud of. @bancaoman

  • Any company that outsources its call center to the Phillipines or someplace like Mumblemouth, India doesn't get my business. If an existing client routes me through either one I give them 30 seconds to transfer me to a US location. If they don't, I close my account.

  • @goodtimebob you must not have any services then, huh? News flash, EVERYONE OUTSOURCES

  • @squishygirl While the call centers in the Phillipines might be providing work for all the hookers that were out of a job with the closures at Clark and Subic I don't have to support them. Same goes with the cow worshippers in India. You'd be surprised how fast they can find some US Christians to handle your call if it means keeping your business.

  • @goodtimebob I work in a call center, and if you had asked me to transfer you to another agent I would happily do so. I would gladly give your rudeness to another agent. I would be happy to not deal with you and head over to a more deserving customer. And honestly, if you reached an oversea office they wouldnt be able to transfer you directly to a US office, just like my office can't directly get you to an oversea office. The call is routed to the next available agent, WHEREVER they are.

  • @goodtimebob So I suggest you get off your holier than thou soapbox because things aren't changing just because you pitch a fit about them, sorry to break the news to you. Oh and by the way, if you were to reach a Jewish US citizen, would you ask to be transfered again? How about a Buddist? Ah, thats right because you can't tell, you can't see their face. Please just do us all a favor an get over yourself, racist.

  • @goodtimebob squishygirl. You sure like the call centers. Was your momma one of the Subic girls who got work there?

  • @goodtimebob No, I just can't tolerate ignorant racists such as yourself who give the rest of us a bad name. My husband is from Subic, and he can tell everything you state here is nothing but crap. You're just a lonely sad soul who feels the need to hate so you can feel worthy. Does it make you feel like a big boy? Hey, why don't you answer my question from my previous post? I'd love to see what intelligent response who come up with.

  • @goodtimebob u r very racist cuz u want only christians to handle ur calls. and btw filipinos r christians as well.

  • NO MORE SCRIPTING! NO MORE SCRIPTING! lol

  • 2:15

"You might want to consider setting up your account or automatic payment system so that we can add, er AVOID late charges and service interuptions in the future"

    LOLOL FUCKING CLASSIC FAIL

  • 2:05 his ear is MELDED onto the earphone.

  • It's like the Singaporeans will tell you they speak British Englsih/.Their style of English is derived from British English, but listen and compare the two. Very easy to distinguish wich is British English and which is Singaporean English.

In the same way, Filipinos do not speak American English. The two are very distinguishable. Thus there are problems of communication between Americans and Filipinos.

  • @bancaoman That's because filipino English starts with a very limited vocabulary. All of them learn the following basic vocabulary:

"Hey Joe, you got Hershey Bar?" "Hey Joe, you like my momma-she cherry." " Hey Joe, you like my sister-she do you long time." Any other vocabualsry is a strain.

  • 09184610074 Thinks that Filipinos speak American English better than Americans. This is really not a well-thought-out statement. First of all, Filipinos don't speak American English. The have their own type of English. Yes, it is derived from American English but it is not American English.

Do They speak better English. I would say very few Filipinos may speak better than a few Americans. But on the whole? NOT!

  • They do not perform better. As I said callcenter agents on this video are the best of the best of Filipino callcenter agents. The average Filipino agent speaks no where as good as in this video and are easily misunderstood and easily misunderstand.

What they do do for the companies is work cheaply. The companies are getting less quality for cheaper costs. Plain and simple.

  • @bancaoman it depense on zhe BPO compny providing services and what type of training they get. vonage and sprint agents for example work for stream and recive no training on their accents. but if u call hamptons reservation they speak like the guys in the video and there is no misunderstanding and they sound almost native amarican. and some directv agents in the phillipinse have no accent at all and sound even better then the people in the video. so it just depense

  • MissTalkToMe states that the callcenter agents in the Philippines are doing a "really good" job. But based on what? Based on the fact that they perform better? No. facts do not back that up.

Instead she bases her belief that they do a "really good" job help the economy of the Philippines. I would agree with that. But that was not my point.

  • Hmmm. . . Nonsense? How do I respond to that? You need to state what you think as nonsense or balderdash and back it up with your reasons. Please try to articulate yourself or no one will understand you.

  • I hate when I get a Flip on the other end of the line. They all act like robots. But I guess that's what they're paid to do- so I don't blame them.

  • I still believe that Call Center Agents are doing good specially in the Philippines. Not only they helped the economy grow but they help the companies as well (it's cheaper to pay employees and materials in the Philippines compare to the US)... and for the those who are looking for a jobs.. I have a news for you.. There's a new job portal called BPO CAREER HUB that caters to KPO and BPO only. more specified but offer vast job hiring :) try to visit the site and find out for yourself..

  • WHO TRAINS THESE PEOPLE TO PRONOUNCE WORDS AMERICANLY? That Must hurt Their throats and give them headaches by the end of the day!

  • Here are some irrelevant facts. . .

    - Listen closely to your agent. SHE may not be a SHE. It would not be rare that SHE is indeed a HE. Call centers rely heavily on hiring trannies (men pretending to be women)

    - Call centers workers rate the highest profession in the Philippines with HIV.

  • @bancaoman really? wtf?

  • @bancaoman Nonsense! Balderdash!!!

  • Another problem is that the agents constantly misunderstand the callers. Local languages always has small nuances that only locals can pick up. These agents have never been out of the Philippines and misunderstand often small things. They pride themselves on understanding slang but it's only the slang they've heard from Hollywood.

One example of many would be . "I think the store really did a number on me". The agent would be at a loss to understand causing further frustration of the caller.

  • Without going into detail, sooner or later our arrogance and failure to face the truth is going to kill this industry.

  • A small note, if a caller is having a problem with the Filipino accent and asks for a non-Filipino, the agents AUTOMATICALLY blame this on racism! They aren't willing to face the fact that some people have difficulty understanding them.

However, if a Filipino customer gets an Indian agent and demands a Filipino agent, this is not seen as racists (this happens often). Our good ol' Pinoy arrogance kicks in to say that "we are the best and everyone should prefer Filipinos".

  • It doesn't matter. No matter how much the public complains about the call centers the companies will not change because these agents are willing to accept a salary at far less than a native-English speaker, and to the Filipinos this is a gold mind as they have little hope of ever getting that much money in another field.

  • I happen to know some things about this subject.

There are a lot of complaints coming from native-English speakers who speak to Filipinos or Indians. The agents on this video are the BEST but they are not the NORM. The education system of the Philippines has deteriorated to the point that the centers are unable to find English speakers as good as in this video so they have been lowering their standards and are hiring more and more agents of less English abilities.

  • Hey guys, be respectful to everybody.

  • buuuuuuuulllllllllllllllllllllllllssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttttttttttt!

  • This is dam fucking, irritating call centre, Teletech is techinical support for bigpond internet was located in pennant hills, Sydney. Now they move it to Philippines. now This fucking Philippines ppl dont know what to talk & how to solve problem. Shit shit shit shit

  • @chocolatecon Blame the fucking corporation idiot. As if YOU know "what to talk" (or do you mean HOW to talk)? I'd like to see whities speak in Filipino, with the right accent. Don't knock it til you've tried it, bitch. Working in a call center is no joke. Filipino agents live on pennies, but have to do 5 things at once for 9-11 hrs because their superiors want to maximize the job. Whities ask for a raise for sitting in front of a PC for 7 hrs. You're just another immigrant who feels important!

  • Comment removed

  • @chocolatecon Poor breeding

  • cheap fucks

  • I hate you guys, I always have to fix all the stupidities you do. I worked for a call center here in my country and you, along with indians messed everything up, that sucks

  • @pk46 better complain these to your boss... and hire more reps in your area

  • yahoo news... It's official: Philippines bests India as No. 1 in BPO

  • Philippines is now Contact Center hub in the world......was replaced India this year. by 2011 BPO crown will give to the Philippines after India as BPO capital.

  • @ricman46: acknowledging our filipino callers abroad in our native language depends on the rules set by our clients. We have an external (offshore) and internal (onshore) quality assurance team. We have to meet their demands as well. regarding to our accent, well this is the nature of our job. We have to sound and think like them. ^_^

  • hahaha.. of course they have script.. but compare the accent to indians??? we are very good in english! hahaha...

  • They bloody reading the way they speak infront of their computer. You can see their eyes is moving. Pillocks!

  • @mabst6 let me inform you sir that if you are in an inbound calls. definitely there will be no script for that. the reason behind why their eyes is movin is jus because they are surely navigating the account of the cust because the answer to the question is in the acct itself., so you dont need script anymore! kng scripted lang pla sa callcenter eh di sana walang bumabagsak during the interview pa lang, hahaha try mo magwork sa colcenter dude, bigyan kta referal hahaha...

  • @sagittarius120985 I don't need a referral (not 'referal' even spelling you cannot justify yourself) 'cause I don't live in the Philippines. You can keep your job as a call centre because that's where you can relive your future. Your monthly Salary perhaps is just for my one week shopping.

  • @mabst6 are you sure.. you want this work.? para nmn malaman mo ung mga sinasabi mo.,.hehehe

  • @gobautista hi consider me as anonymous person.. i got a job interview tomorrow.. i dont know if i can pass the interview but is it really have to be english the whole time? i mean.. im a bit stuttering when i speak english in person but i think i improve my english a lot last time i spoke with people in person lol.. btw it was technical support position.. help me please.. get me some confidence lol

  • @HawxTeamDelta oh man.. this need to be done lol

  • @gobautista Sorry I don't live in the Philippines. You can keep your job as a call centre.

  • @mabst6 They're reading the account info as they talk to the customer, get it?

  • sorry i cant English because im not in Graduation.. YET... nyahahaha

  • Ridiclous.

"Thank you for phoning....your balance is _______"

You'd actually need to get the customers details up firstly, their is absoutely no system out their that brings details up in-relation to the phone-call that comes in.

You need to actually search by "Name" and "Postcode" - Bring the details up, then actually go into the transactions to see the details.

    Nice script reading xo

  • @CraiG10021 welcome to 2011. There is such a thing as NIVR (network interactive voice response) wherein customers provide their account details before they talk to an agent. In short account verification will be done by an automated voice response. Automatically, the account will be pulled up by the computer. The agent need not to reverify.

  • @iamjest21

    "Welcome to 2011".

Please dont confirm to myself regarding the Network Interactive Voice Response; If the customer was going through an automated service they would 99.9% get the Balance over that instead of coming through to an Agent. You might of provided details over the phone, however I doubt they never got that answer.

  • @CraiG10021 That's what she did, and when she found the answer, she thanked the customer. You don't say thank you for phoning at the outset; you introduce the company and yourself first and say, how may I help you, look for the data needed, and then, the thanks and the data.

  • i could hav sworn i talked to one of these guys...

  • if the PLDT popularize the TELEbabad,TELEtipid and TELEsulit for their valued costumers...

are they also made TELEtobies? because look...

    Poo

    Lala

    Deepsy

    Tinky winky

  • nice reading of scripts! hahaha!

  • haha... fake calls... scripted.... use actual calls naman... look at the guy at 1:04... tinanong info ng client, wala nmang ginawa sa mouse or keyboard...pagtapos alam na nia ung balance?.. shit, sa utak siya nag-input ng data?. di man lang ginalaw mga input devices?..lol

  • 0:47 is that blockbuster spiels?

  • Die a little bit, with every call

  • To all Filipino Customer Service Agents:

Wag nang mag kunwaring American accent kayo. No matter how good you think you are in speaking, mahahalata pa rin kayo na mga Pilipino.

There is nothing wrong in learning the American accent. But if a Kabayan from the US recognizes you, you should acknowledge him in return. We understand you cannot speak Tagalog at work but saying "kumusta po", "Pilipino po pala kayo" won't hurt.

Pretending that you are not Filipino by faking your accent is lame.

  • @ricman46 well, perhaps you don't understand the nature of the job. eh if they get caught by the QA Team doing that and they get fired? shall you provide salary for them? duh! that is because you have at twisted idea of the situation. it is not being pretentious or what, it is just doing the job.

  • @jeckalluinne i understand about QA and i did not mean speak Tagalog from beginning to end. I just said "acknowledge". Like "kumusta po", "magandang gabi, po" then back to English again.

I spoke to many (and I mean a lot) Filipino agents and supervisors and they all agreed that it is not a QA issue if you do this.

  • @ricman46 ulol... trabaho yan pre, mabibigyan mo ba ako ng trabaho kapag nahuli akong magtagalog at patalsikin sa trabaho?.. damn

  • @salavadjuke you can respond in a more educated manner. your choice of words reflect who you really are.

i understand about QA and i did not mean speak Tagalog from beginning to end. I just said "acknowledge". Like "kumusta po", "magandang gabi, po" then back to English again.

I spoke to many (and I mean a lot) Filipino agents and supervisors and they all agreed that it is not a QA issue if you do this.

Get real

  • girl on 2:13.... I like your accent...

  • ahahah DIRECTV ANG ACCOUNT LOLS

  • akala koe pldt.. sa teletech to....

  • haha..it sounds familiar..teletech ata to..obvious ang acct na hinandle..but no offense maganda ang training nila and their trainers and sups are approachable and friendly..

  • What I saw new in this video is a good speaking accent from Asians.Ever Asian should follow their accents.

  • Callcenter job is the worse for asians. Not only it would fuck up your body, but your mind as well. At the age of 40, dont forget to get a ct scan, tumors might be all over.

  • ola ... can i speak to carmen por favor? Carmen Cabron, u knoe?
