When I first played this a few months ago, my cat Tehya perked up from her naptime and raced to the nearest window to look for the source of the meows. Tehya knows what Maru is saying, somehow. That plastic is for some reason his favourite toy, he treats it as a prey, when he catches he meows as he is proud of his "victory". Then he fell asleep as he was playing a lot before. All of this is in the description and you can confirm in the other videos.
