Clearly physics doesn't quit so, theoretically the movements of that cloth are just as predictable. It's magic, I think, lies in that it follows physical laws yet exceeds our understanding of it's realtionship to them.

@stochasticmonk Probably constant. Air is a funny thing. If it is directed at anything it creates drag but if blown past a surface, it creates low pressure (so almost like suction) on the edge the air is travelling over. The silk experinces drag until it is pushed out of the way and then falls into the low pressure part until it is incorporated in the air stream enough to begin causing drag.

At first I was also wondering how he controlled it, but I'm pretty sure there is no control and the fans are just going constantly. In the middle of the circle the air creates an upwards vortex that the sheet dances in and around and stuff.
