@dirtypants428 shut up you must be a jew only a jew is hartless and would make a western comment like that...quit being like us ull never be us your Hitler times all the lives the jews took
That isn't entirely true. There have been 3 recurring reasons for war throughout history: Resources, Land, and Religion. There are OTHER reasons, but those 3 usually cover it. Al Qaeda attacked us for their religious fanatacism, we retaliated. Our occupation of Iraq COULD be argued as being about oil. That is merely conjecture, however, and I cannot say that with any certainty. Still, money is not the ONLY, nor is it the primary reason for war.
How about all of you stop being pussies. You care about one guy so much but you don't give a shit about the big picture. How about you guys just go punch fate in the face for taking lives all over the world.
That really does suck but it's part of what he signed on for. It can happen to any journalist that is out in the field and reporting on major wars or other dangerous situations. He clearly didn't deserve it. But I can tell you as a loader in the Army for the M1 Abrahms they don't take the time to read all the detail in the vehicles if you fit an aggressive profile which the TV vehicle may have looked like to the gunner...might be the reason they got fired on. It's a dangerous job either way.
And yet that means they shouldn't be held accountable for their mistake? Say a cop shoots a kid playing with a fake gun (with the orange tip broken off) in the heat of the moment. Should he not be held accountable for his actions simply because of any possible services he may have performed for the community?
These things never make sense. But the best way to understand them is to actually be involved in that particular field. I myself have been fired upon by 12 year olds so I wil have a completely different perspective than other people. In our profession it doesn't matter if you're killed by a 12 year old or 20 year old, the basic of the job entail to protect the life of others including your self. There are mamy sides to every story so I guess we will never know the truth.
One more thing Chad. It may have appeared to the tank gunner that the man using an older style camera looked like a person holding an RPG or some form of rocket or launcher. The miltary will never tell us what went wrong that day. Also look at the video at 1:35 if you watch it...it looks like he is holding some shoulder launched weapon, especially from a distance. The gunner isn't even going to pay attention to the vehicle marked TV cause terrorist or combatants use all kinds of tactics in war
I didn't see it as disrespecting our armed forces. I'm like you were in this world of chaos and disorder there needs to be some sort of accountability. The hard part is figuring out how to do just that.

Not exactly... this war was because of money and oil and shit, atleast that's what i know so far...

Doesn't seem to make any sense, to me.

That does put a new light on things, and I do understand that "casualties of war" usually go unnoticed.
I hope no one thinks that I'm disrespecting our armed forces. I hold our soldiers in the highest regard.
