  • Its wonderful to see them interact.

  • looks and sounds like congress

  • Wow, out of almost 65,000 views you're the only one who has ever said anything close to that. I'm speechless. Search for my 4 videos on "dzerres" and see other versions of this plus background what this feeder really is and how I updated it to accommodate hummingbirds.

  • Why do I think this is fake?

  • That's always a problem. Could be the large format but when I was using smaller feeders I put at least 3 very close to each other, within a couple of feet, and they seemed to settle down. The bullies couldn't keep all the interlopers away and finally gave up. Its counter-intuitive - most folks separate the feeders far apart but that way each feeder gets its own bully.

  • Like others have said, I too have had a couple feeders and there's always been 1 or 2 hummingbirds that chase everyone else off! So amazing to see them all together peacefully! Wow! Maybe because it's a big open thing instead of a few little "flower" holes?? This is so cool what you made for them!

  • Lol this is an epic WIN

    Luvvv it

  • Love it! Thanks for posting this!!!

  • amazing! just uploaded my first video of handfeeding one )

  • someone needs to photoshop them playing poker!

  • I love the fact that they get the chance to 'sit down' while they eat. That hovering with wings whirring looks so tiring. Lovely to see the exquisitely beautiful little creatures tucking in with such gusto!! Great idea!! Thanks very much.

  • Awesome. I love hummingbirds.

  • I love this idea!! But it wouldn't work here in Indiana cuz the bee's would attack it and the birds would get nothing :/ I love your creativeness!!

  • I was thinking if I had a bee problem I would try fitting a plastic screening on top.

  • Man, you have invented a Hummingbird McDonald's. Next step would be flight thru?

  • Hummingbirds are fiesty

  • Are reservations required?

  • Winter Park, Colorado

  • beautiful and amazing looks like it can seat more then 20 sweet hummingbirds great idea what state are you in im in Texas my mom feeds them but we dont get that meny

  • They are so cute and I never knew they made little noises!! I'm also surprised the little stinkers will share! Ha ha, they must've realized there is enough food to go around 'cos the feeder is so big!

  • I have them trained. They attend individual and group therapy sessions to get over their aggressive tendencies.

  • @dzerres hilarious answer! This is just too cool sir.

  • Wow, how's this possible? Here in my feeder they start fighting each other and never two of them drink together. Shouldn't humming birds be territorial?

  • I love how like 20 of their heads dip down at the same time

  • wat did u put in there love?

  • 4 to 1 water to sugar

  • search the 4 vids under "dzerres" and read thru the questions and comments. I went thru the how to's completely already. It's easy. Good luck.

  • Where do I get one of those, or how do I make one. I have six 32 oz feeders and I have to fill them every 2 days.

  • Omg...Look at all those hummingbirds...Omg...it's a lot of them.. omg...Look at all those hummingbirds man!

  • @dzerres not every diabetic gets diabetes from to much sugar FYI type 1 is totally different

  • @wecare4clara sugar doesn't cause diabetes. corn syurp does.

  • I BETTER GO MAKE ONE OF THOSE THING RIGHT NOW! i really wanna see lots of hummingbirds in my backyard hehe and maybe take a picture and maybe see the young ones humm...

  • THEY"RE LEARNING, THEYRE LEARNING!!!!!!!!!!

  • The whole idea is to not make lots of feeders but a couple of big feeders instead. If you read thru the prior responses below on this and my 3 other videos it explains everything.

  • how do u make a cheap humming bird feeder? so i can make lots of feeders cuz I got humming birds where I live but no one has feeders and I only have one check vid on my channel too :)

  • its humming bird McDonalds..they all opted for super size

  • my mantis can take care of your infestation free of charge.....jk

  • i hope these hummingbirds dont get diabetes from all that artificial sugar, really people!

  • I know a Circus Bird when I see one. Heck , I even recognize at least 10 out of the 20 little birdies from a movie I once saw. Trained birds indeed, not fooling anyone here !

Just love it. Thank you !

  • Thanks for your footage and all the information, what a great video! Kym

  • 0:16 the bird that lands is lagging :P

  • it's on a platform on a tube base planted in the ground off the deck - probably 8 feet up just to keep the bears and raccoons off.

  • What do u sit it on? How high do u place it?

  • ever thought of selling those

  • @g1rlgotswagger You can get them online or at a commercial feed and seed store like Murdock's.

  • How did you make this?

  • @tooteyfrootey It's the bottom of a commercial chicken feeder. check out my comments on the three other posts - search "dzerres" to see what and where.

  • That's a great idea! I too get tired of cleaning my feeders with a toothbrush because the mold builds up in hard to reach places.

  • Very cool.. The most I had was like 12 at once and they were all fighting! Very nice video.

  • this is awesome:-) i'll have to try something similiar with my brother next year:-)

  • Really nice ...... and this is the first time I see that kind of feeder.......

"my " hummingbirds are very selfish there only comes one at the time and sometimes u can see one "rufus" chasing away the others...

I just wish 2 see 2 of them eating peacefully at the same time.

  • Amazing.!

  • Haha! It looks like a meeting. The Council of the United Hummingbird Federation.

  • @darthsugi89 Laugh now, fool human, but the CUHF is plotting and soon you will no longer find it funny. You've been warned.

  • @TheLeastDiseased I for one welcome our new bird overlords

  • @eehee2002 it's the condescending I dislike... ending every command with 'I have spoken'. I shouldn't have to genuflect either.

  • @darthsugi89 It's the wine and nectar hour

  • I love this, wish I could do it but the bees are already clamoring over my conventional feeder. How sweet this is!

  • Fabulous!!!! and great show!

  • That is really taking it to the next level. Nice!!!

  • @dzerres.. What you say is true because the only type of hummingbird feeder I use is the saucer type. When I open it, the cleaning is easy and I can clean ALL of it. 100%

The tubular types of feeders are a waste of time and there are nooks and crannies that you cannot get clean.

Only use the saucer types like the "HUMMZINGER"... That's a good one.!

  • If I were a hummingbird, I would live at your house.!!

  • during the height of the hummingbird "season" when the parents and their two broods are around - end of July and first part of August - 7 gallons of nectar will barely last a week.

  • how quickly does that thing get drained?

  • I like how you said it seats about 20..lol :)

  • This is hummingbird heaven!!! Amazing I live in Michigan and only get like 7 a year. I need to move lol. Hummingbirds are soooo cute!!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience:)

  • So precious; thanks for sharing

  • Hummingbirds annual symposium? :)

  • There are no bees in the mountains of Colorado but wasps do show up at the very end of the season so its not a big problem - I use a fly swatter on the few which do hang around but again most of the hummingbirds have already left by then. thanks for watching.

  • This is wonderful! I was at 2 amazing hummer locations this year and I am always looking for more.

Don't you get wasps this time of year?

I don't think it is necessary to remove the feeder in October. Feeders do not stop hummers from leaving, and you might safe the life of a late juvenile.

  • Omg! i was happy to see 6 at my feeder but this is unreal.

  • My wife is all pissed. She is mad that ours feed one at a time. Be glad to be alive and able to see one. Everybody wants more than they have of everything. Thank you for sharing. We were watching them feeding and our coopers hawk killed a dove and ate it right in front of the feeder. It was something to see the hummers kept feeding not missing a lick ;) We are in north Florida so we only get a few. We have to be careful to pull the feeders in early october. So they can go south. THANKS

  • @2ndamen they say that pulling your feeder isn't necessary its great that you feed though

  • @2ndamen - don't pull your last feeder until you're sure they all have left. In the fall is when the hummers really need your help to make it across the Gulf of Mexico. They know when to leave.

  • @dzerres How long do the hums stay in NJ? We have two beautiful ones, male and female and they are becoming so friendly with us, we don't even want to see them leave. :)

  • @2ndamen ~ Is the reason they are here in S. CA all year because the feeders are left out and filled all the time? I should look that up and allow them to continue the cycle they should be doing. Thanks for pointing that out.

  • @2JamesGregory Some species of hummingbirds are year round residents in S. CA due to the warmer weather. Anna's, Allen's, and Black-chinned are 3 species that you'll find year round in your location.

  • @2ndamen please don't pull your feeders until you're sure they have all left - don't force them to leave. Fall is the most critical time for them to stock up. Some have to fly across the Gulf of Mexico. You depriving of a source they've been using all summer could be fatal. Mine know when to leave - by the 7th of September they have all left but I leave it up at one more week to provide for a stragler coming from further north.

  • @dzerres omg these tiny tiny birds fly across the Gulf of Mexico... that is so touching... i love your feeder... the birds look so content and calm and i love watching their little heads bobbing up and down... ^.^

  • @2ndamen They will go south whether the feeders are out or not.

  • holy cow! hummingbird buffet !! :D

  • You just know the instant the camera's off them, they do The Wave!

  • THEY SEEM TO PREFER THIS FEEDER

  • QUE DIFERENTE COMO SE REUNEN

  • This is unbelievable---- I never thought they would share.

  • This is totally awesome! I live in SC and have 2 feeders up close by one another I get at the most sometime two on the feeder at a time even though I may have 4 to 6 hummers flying around. I live on the 3rd floor and our neightbor on the 1st floor also feed them she has the same problem. I would love to have a gathering like this

  • dont he bee's come for the sugar water?

  • where did you get the cool feeder? I have got to get one of those!!

  • I can't even get TWO to feed at the feeder at the same time! I'm extremely jealous ;)

  • WOW! Thats amazing!! I have never seen that many hummers!

  • By having multiple feeders close together or like here, one large feeder, a single hummingbird, usually a male rufus can't guard them all and will eventually give up and share. If you take a close look there are actually several male rufus sitting side by side sharing.

  • I love this! You usually don't see so many hummingbirds SHARING a feeder...the ones we get around here guard the feeder like a hawk!

  • Where are you located? This is incredible!

  • Winter Park, Colorado

  • wow..! thats alot of hummingbirds!! there all so pretty to!! if i was making this video i would have stayed there forever watching them! and then my vid would be to long... oops lol it still looks cool though!! great video!!! xD

  • That's fantastic! I want to make one now. Maybe I will have a couple ready for the next season! Wow! Thanks so much for sharing this!

  • Hey, now thats a Hummingbird feeder! LOL! What a crowd gathered there..
