  • why not 545 feet? not like anyone could see it anyways...

  • Lol you said frisby

  • Lols

  • i can flick a boss 500ft , like a boss.

  • you cant see the disc after it is thrown

  • wierd technique or not i am very jealous

  • Such a weird form, but it works, the full spin throws me off

  • How the hell do people think they are better than David Wiggins at disc golf? Just do a simple search of his name, then watch him compete against the best in the world. ...and tell me again after that, you are better than this guy at this sport.

  • chilled with david today before an ap exam threw some discs and if you havent realized he's amazing

  • hahaha dude i have class with david!

  • I went to school with this guy, he's crazy cool xD

  • To the idiots that think they're better than him. Are you rated over 1000? because he is.

  • love the quality and lack of zoom. no markers no nothing to see how far it goes. way to go little guy, but this vid is terrible,

  • bet this kid has no accuracy

  • @thachronking bet he's better than you lol

  • @Mustanglover1202 bet im better than you

  • @thachronking congratulations, your better then me at disc golf lol neat stuff. next time, dont take it so personal. betting a kid that holds the world record for distance in his age is better than you really isnt that harsh. but you hating on an 11 yr old, is pretty bad..

  • Listen to the wind hitting the mic on the camera. I'd say it helped him get another 100 feet or so. Not that I could do any better, my farthest is around 350 on flat ground. Very impressive.

  • damn, this kid outdrives me

  • I am a FAN time to go buy some discs!

  • i just wish the camera was better so we could see these bombs flyin

  • ive been throwing a star valkyrie.. but recently purchased a champion boss... so far all my throws with the boss have had a hard left turn... when my valkyrie i keep level.. its almost like the boss wants to turn over on me. any suggestions to fix this?

  • @kgstandridge whats the flex if its greater than your valkyrie it could just be a small problem with your release try re-evaluating your throw and leveling out your disc at the release

  • @kgstandridge boss's are a hard disc to throw. very high speed, very over stable, try a star wraith 170 grams. I was speaking to nikko the other day and he swears by it, easier to control, still high speed. Just an all around great disc. Or if you still want max speed, try a katana, its turn fade is equaled out 3 turn, 3 fade, but just like the sword, you have to be a master to use it, the slightest error, or too early of a release point, the katana will go way off course.

  • @Mustanglover1202 I'm younger but i seem to have great success throwing a 161 g rpro boss it beats in faster and is lighter weight making it easier to throw my uncle also swears by the 150 rpro boss

  • @TheYates54 Not bad, I'm not a fan of the boss, I found a pro boss the other week, and I gave it away to a novice I met the other day. They are too domey for my, plus it was beat to heck and garbage for the most part, the lighter weights will help with understability, I'd also suggest a beast, sidewinder, or the Vulcan, but the Vulcan need to get worn a lil bit before it will turn for ya.

  • @Mustanglover1202 I got an ace on my second throw with a 170 Star Vulcan I had bought. It was about 280ft with a 20% incline and trees on the right. The thing glided perfectly straight and starting turning over as it got to the trees. A little while later, I hear a ching. It was a good day :).

    P.S.

The Boss is my favorite disc. I got my first ace with one, and I currently have a very worn-in 167 Star Boss that has a crack in it but I still throw it regardless.

Alright That was my 2 cents :)

  • Very good tecnique kid! I just started doing this technique the other day, and it is the only way to really get those longass hauls or throws if you like.

I have the 13 inch "aerobie-pro" disc, and have used it with my friends some times in an olympic sized open stadium.

  • I`m thinking about getting the 10inch too, but the 13 inch really is a shitload of fun. I guess we have a good 120 meters maximum to our credit so far. But i guess as you home your skills, you may reach in excess of 150 meters.

  • How do you measure the distance? Range finder, tape measure, or wheel?

  • it would be a good technique for tournament play if the tee pads were 30 feet long lol...still a good throw...come to peru, Indiana and bring a note pad young buck....theres a few of us around here that will teach you a thing or two !

  • He is amazing to watch and he is a really good putter too. Saw him at the 2009 King's Cup. I don't know how he deuced hole 2 from the longs at Barnett Park in Kinston, NC.

  • hes actually got the 7th or 8th longest recorded throw EVER! fourteen...ridiculous...i barely break 400

  • @professor33036 I just saw the first minute of it and had to turn it off . it was lame .. really lame.

  • Great form and tempo PLEASE PUT MORE VIDEOS OF YOUR 360 SPIN THROW

  • u got some skill kid.keep it up maybe someday you'll hit 800

  • i now understand how good you really are david i saw your new record is in the 700 ft" range and that is fucking insane. Hope i see you at a pro tournament some time!

  • that was his 14th throw. They knew how far he could throw it and were standing there.

  • kids got a hell of an arm, If you watch that slow mo at the end you can see how far his arm swings around after the release. Amazing talent young fella keep it up!

  • lame vid, only him throwing

  • i am 46 and have been enjoying that sort of flinging and flight for years.. i still have a pat pen max weight aero i picked up in the early 80s that i threw about 425 with an almost vertical hyzer release. LOL. that wind sounded fierce, but what impressed me was his attitude. kid is having a blast and is a true flight-lover. let 'em fly!! revheelsesq

  • @RandomPerson5004 no way you threw an aero that far. no F-ing way at all.

  • @dw061787 according to the discgolf center webpage the Aero once held the world distance record at 485 feet!

  • nice, too bad u can't really see it...

  • this fool can bomb over 700 ft now!!!!!!

  • dose he still use the spin technique?

  • most likely...im going to see him at worlds so ill ask...

  • That was sweet. I wonder what it would have been without the backwind.

  • wow!!! how long did it take you took get that spin before you throw down?. that was nice;-)

  • lol, im going to waste half the season trying to do a spin apporach on drives now... guess that appoarch doesnt work well for players who use half the room in their bags for beer :)

  • whatever man...thats quality aiming fluid...should do nothing but help that throw :D

  • haha. so true.

  • @Moufwash beer is always your best disc in clutch situations, dont sell your self short

  • Usually when someone opens their mouth about something they know nothing about, it indicates a lack of intelligence.

  • when someone opens his or her mouth***

  • beast

  • this was an amazing feat. 11 yr old too. prodigy?

  • I've played behind David Wiggins at the 2007 World Championships during a warm up round and he'd smoke the majority of disc golf players on the course. This was for pure all out distance. Get him on the course and he's very accurate and makes great decisions while playing.

  • this kid just placed 17 in a open event that included ken climo barry schultz and avery jenkins

  • damn there are so many fuckin haters here...hes throwing for D not accuracy. Wiggins is an amazing Disc golfer that could hands down own any of you shit talkers here. Oh and lets not forget that he is a 5 time junior world champ

  • Sorry but in a real game you CAN do anything you want before you drive the disc as long as you don't go over the tee. Heck, you could do back flips if ya wanted!

  • In a rela game you cant go spinning around and take thirty feet to throw the disc.

  • Show me the rule that says you cant spin. You can do pretty much whatever you want as long as you are on the tee when the disc is released. the kid is 11 and throwing that far, I get it, most of the shit talkers cant break 400 feet. Its ok, somebody has to play rec.

  • U R Wrong

  • he's throwing for a distance record, im sure he doesnt throw like that on course play. some of you needa grow the fuck up

  • The fact that he takes that big huge spin to throw probably would hurt him in a real game though since you cannot keep your eye on the target... plus I ma not sure how much that big spin really helps and how much of that momentum is just wasted. Still, I could not beat that, so he could smoke me in distance!!!

  • Minus the wind, minus the open field, try that on a course kid.

  • i know, im sure he would make an accurate DGer with his spin around technique.... not to mention there arent any tees that have 30ft of runway on them

  • we play ultimate on the field inside the track he's throwing from... he should come join us!

  • NICE!!

  • thats kool and all but impractical for a real game .I would smoke you kid...but keep drinking your milk son.

  • wow man your cool you must be really good at discin

  • If your not throwing upper 900 and a 1000 rated round every now and then you might have trouble with Jr

  • nice big dog style hes throwing like a champ

  • Throwing 484 at 11 and 576 at age 12, this kid is probably on his way to beating Sandstrom's 820 ft. someday!!

  • dude that kid has a cannon as an arm

  • how many yards is 480 feet.

  • Divide by three.

    Did you pass fourth grade?

  • Now don't be mean, kiddy.

  • better yet, have u heard of google.

  • itd be nice to actually see the disc

  • he should name his son 'Ender'

  • The cut on a golf disc is like an aeroplane wing so the perfect headwind makes a disc travel further. He couldnt make this shot on a calm day, or if he threw it in the opposite direction.

  • i wish i saw it.... im sure it was a nice throw.... hehe actually when i throw longway i make that turn too

you should mark where the frisbee is in the video cuz i didnt see it after it left his hands

  • that turnaround is SO smooth! scott zimmerman and jack cooksey looked like that when not-much-older than he is (1979 or so) and still throw incredibly well

  • my uncle frank taught zimmerman he was a record holder in the mid 80s.disc 4 life

  • he is a 5x world champ. I have seen him hit basket on a 368ft hole with O.B. 5 feet from the pin. I think he could beat everyone thats talking crap here. Not only is he a world champ but he has also played USDGC (youngest of all time to play).

  • by the sound of that wind from the camera seems like there was a bit of a headwind. Might have carried it further than it should have went but still can't complain about him throwing long.

  • I gave it 5 stars even though it's sad to see such a "big deal" in a such a poor quality video. Do the kid some justice, and invest in a camera and photographer to shoot next time.

  • I am assuming that most of the naysayers on this video don't even play disc golf or have never read anything about it. This kid is not only throwing long he is also a great player, just google his name.

  • very impressive!

  • Do you even know what you talking about......by your comment that im reading im guessing no!!!!!!youdumbass

  • Dudemansir12345 (That is )

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG that is the coolest thingin the world... omg good holy crap omg omg omg omg so cool omg omg omg omg how u do that ur sooooo coool

  • Yea thats a cannon. im from nc stuck for a second, six years, at silver creek manitowoc wi. stop by for the tourney next july. otherwise, good luck at the olympics.

  • Competetive dad! lol

  • Not only does he throw far but he is good. He just won the NC State Championships in the Open division as a 13 year old. I beleive the 2nd place finisher is the current advanced world champ.

  • sounded a little windy like gusty....maybe shitty sound but if it was windy shouldnt count even if it was a BREEZE this needs to be done in a closed air hanger

  • Great accomplishment, I wish I could throw 384 3/4 and I am 37. I also wish I could do a 360, that would be a nice one to pull out of the back pocket when needed or when showboating. As long as the distance he threw was measured from where he released the disc I don't care how far he ran up. Amazing prodigy

  • gained 85 feet in a year lol

  • k u guys are flaming the next climo

  • lol he throws it, then the camera zooms out instead of in...what the helllll?

  • he prob has special made teepads that r like 50 ft long rolf

  • lol

  • you all are idiots. look at the title of this vid, it says "distance record"! he can do what ever he wants for a run up. He is not trying an x-step and is not aiming for a pin therefore he uses a 360 for max distance. and to 9sheto9, i highly doubt you could throw anywhere near that far when you were 11 and to my knowledge you have no world champion titles so stop flaming! Wiggins is the man.

  • thats a bunch of bull that was such along run he doesnt even diserve to try for the record

  • far. but i agree with 9sheto9

  • Thats bullcrap, He runs 30 feet, and then throws... Any of us who play disc golf can do that, lets see you stand still, do an x-step, and rip off something 484'

    No-one I actually knows a 360

  • i aculy live where he lives and u can do that in disc golf duhh

  • yes, obviously you can

but at our courses, some of that time that won't work because the teepads are backed up against woods

and, not to mention, is he even accurate with a 360? does it go 500 feet in the wrong direction

because hey, I've played oshtemo, this kid goes there and tries to throw his 360 and it goes a few 100 feet off the fairway, then i could beat him throwing with an x-step

  • your a dumbass to ill promise you he will wear you out on a discgolf course....you dumb bitch.

  • wheres the basket

  • he is setting a distance record. not actually on a course

  • dude that is amazing i just started playing today hope i can be that good

  • world record is over 800ft this is crap video this video is bullshit.

  • Perhaps you can't hear, He's going for the "Age 11 and under" record, not trying to beat Sandstrom's non-age-restricted throw.

  • i did not hear that in the video, i stand corrected, didnt know they had a 11 and under record thats interesting, good day to you

  • job well done!

  • sounds quite windy, that would surely influence how far the frisbee could be thrown

  • that was sweet! but in the description, it's not a frisbee. (just to let you know) but that was freaking awesome. keep it up dude.

  • thats awesome, my record is like 20 feet

  • you guys are so negative. the kid threw the hell out of that disc. great throw dave.

  • wow keep it up but i threw a 521 my record

  • POST IT, PROVE IT :)

  • you can hear the wind.... looks like he had a little help from the wind..

  • so he can throw it 450ft but how accurate is that shot

  • that kid hucks

  • Whoops you stepped over the line dude. No Record

  • cant even see the disc. so we have no idea how far it went. and "paintrain" is right. Guiness World Records arent there. so its not official. i've thrown a 500 but some guy threw 520!

  • poor quality. And where are the Guiness folks? I don't see any certificates or anything. Your "world record" wasn't official, kid. Sorry.

  • i've thown an elite Z disc 475+ at charlie vettiner park in louisville ky before, had ALOT of wind at my back that day. sometimes wind helps. sometimes it don't. typically a strong wind at your back results in wild fluctuations of the disc as it travels to the basket, resulting in less distance.

  • LOT OF WIND

  • i like the content but the handling of filming and the quality are horrible

  • kid good.....video bad...I wanna seen more angles, more cameras....but wow

  • yea somtimes even a tail wind makes it worse you might catch a down draft

  • Wow, what a throw. This kid is the next Tiger Woods of Frisbee Golf!

  • the next ken climo

  • I disagree with the people complaining that the wind helped his distance. I throw farthest on dead calm days, tail winds seem to keep the discs from gliding--because the air is moving in the same direction, it is as if they are moving more slowly, so they fade right to left earlier than on calm days, that kills distance. This kid has perfect form and an unbelievable arm.

  • borin

  • this is bullshit

  • and he broke the record again at big d in the desert. u guys must be sick... heh

  • way to windy to do this on, this is crap

  • did you hear the wind? records should be set on calm days. tailwinds and crosswinds help alot.

  • nope

  • correct

  • Wow, If I had a gun, I would shoot myself right now.

  • that cameraWoman sucks

  • it looks like he's blind at the beginning...lol what the hell. I dont care if that was a cameraman or his wife, but that was horrible footage. Loks like he's good tho.

  • hey thts not the world record......my frnd dheeraj threw upto 190 mtrs...........at the national flying disc champoinship punjab.......india........i will try to arrange for the video....

  • this is cool, i live in lexington, nc and go to highpoint to play all the time.

  • the cameraman sucks

  • That's no cameraman, that's my wife ;-)

  • still sucks

  • dude you should use a valk.....

  • those valk's aren't that great in my opinion

  • great job! having played quite a bit over the past year or so I can def say that's impressive. If you ever need a better videographer let me know I'm in the Charlotte area haha

  • thats pretty far. it sounded like a really windy day and i'm sure he was throwing with the wind to gain distance.

  • d00d, little bastard can huk.

im 15 and my main distance driver is a 170 destroyer, i get it 430 without 360

  • You're dreaming, go to a football field and test your distance there before you claim you can throw 430 feet. Only a handful of pro players in the world can throw that far, and you're not among them.

  • the 11yo disc golf P.I.M.P.

    keep rockin it man

  • 150 valk it bro

  • High Point, NC is where the gods of disc golf reside. Come get a piece baby!!!

  • what discs are you using?

  • It said it towards the end......an innova wraith....168 grams

  • uhmmmm, okay heres the deal.

u pay me $5, and u get to throw the "frisbee" in my face :)

  • kids in my neighborhood chuck hub cabs further than that!

  • no life

  • very nice toss kid..even with the wind goin like that..keep em flying

  • long distance is nice but golf is a lot more than just that, If there was better disc tech when Sandstrom was 11 I bet he would throw 520.

  • Keep ripping them Kid!!!! Im 32 and have been playing for 15 years and have only thrown over 400 once or twice and probably had the help of the wind!!! If your ever in Kentucky stop in Louisville and visit Charlie Vettiner. It fits your long throwing arm real well!!!!!

  • Maybe the best thing this kid has going for him is his suport team. If you see Jr, Sr is near. As a father of a pretty good player I know what it takes to prepare a young player.

Besides countless hours of practice on and off the course, Long travel times and huge expenses you have to be a father, caddie, maneger and still be able to be their friend.

My favorite thing about Jr is that When he's not on the course he's just another average 12 year old kid.

    I am a huge Wiggins Fan JR&SR.

  • Thanks paparoc, and you know the feeling is mutual. Looking forward to seeing you in Kalamazoo. This very well could be Brock's year!

  • 400ft for an 11 year old is insane. (and most any one else) Im 21 and I have been playing disc golf for 3 years and 400ft is the absolute max distance I have ever got. If all you do is smoke pot, cigs and drink beer you are doing better than most of the players I know haha. But I agree dont fall prey to those and it is a wonderful sport.
