Just think about how much behind the technology is, compared with an ideal, where sufference of mankind would be way reduced, in a world with clean technologies, efficient, etc.

I think I'm understanding what you're saying, Stefan, except I'm not. The use of the word "violence" rather than offensive or manipulative or inappropriate is confusing to me. I have tried to understand this before and failed. It seems like you are referring to more than the passive-aggression of the runaround. The "gun in the room" is confusing to me, too - am I just being willfully ignorant? I need a stebot 101 vid.
