If you guys watch the very ending of the scene (After the credits) You hear Rush, talking to the Conqueror, saying that he is "going back. They're waiting for me." Possibly a sequel, possibly something to make you think about, or possibly a happier more hopeful ending and nothing more than that. I don't know why people don't like the ending i thought it was a really good one. Very sad but also sort of like a light at the end of a tunnel.

I killed the conqueror in 5 minutes.. he was pretty easy...i had emmy hit 210k with hundred flowers and torgal used hawkarang twice..which hits 140k each time.. rest was build up of attacks..which is average of 80k per union. storyline was sad too. one of the best ive seen. 5/5

Err may I just say people that if you think this ending was sad you should see the ending to final fantasy X, I'm a 21 yr old guy but even i have to admit that i shed a tear to that one. Now that was an epic game.

PS.. Also i was sort of dissapointed in this game, Squaresoft used to be all about telling a story and letting you feel apart of it, but since SquareEnix took over they have concentrated more on gameplay and making money. Another great game company the americans have ruined!!!

Actually if you pass ending credits and use japanese voices whole game and get use to how each character sounds like you won't have any wonders about what's with Rush. Conqueror says: What will you do now? and Rush answers: I'm going back... there're waiting for me.

In english voices it's hard to recognize who talk in this dialogue, but in japanese it's easy.

Sequel? Nah, story ends here and nothing to add.

Conqueror was planned as playable character... why didn't they give him to us -.-

And I do hope that they have some kind of sequal for this game. Even though the remnants are all gone, they should at least have something. It has the Conqueror talking to Rush on what he's going to do next, and Rush answers he's going to go back. A second game or saying on going back to the loading page?

I just finished the game the credits are rolling right now... after a looooong time playing it, after the ending I thought "it's that it?", the game was really long and I was expecting something better, and something about Roeas and Castanea, they don't say a word before the final fight!, oh, the credits ended and Rush spoke to the Conqueror!, saying that he will go back because they're waiting for him, but stil that's not enough, well at least both the conqueror and Rush are still alive...

If you find the literal japanese to english translation of the script, you will find lots of hits supporting the gay theory, and in the very end, where you hear Rush and the Conquerer speaking, the actual translation of what Rush says is "He's waiting for me" not the english versions "They're waiting for me"
