love the 3.0l, may not be as peppy but its got a nice growl to it and will be tougher than any durtech......to bad the trannys mated to them were garbage
It is not underpowered. Compared to another car, yes, maybe it is, but alone, I find it has WAY more power than needed for day to day driving. I have a 1989 Taurus GL with the vulcan, and even with its problems, it takes off and can get up to freeway speeds very nicely, and sounds great when I have to pass someone on the freeway too. Anyone having taurus problems? I have a few questions.
This is so weird. You car sounds EXACTLY the same as mine, but they are 10 years apart. I wouldnt know the difference (if I only heard this video, but didnt see it,) between your car and mine.
The 3.0L Vulcan has a decent sound to it. It sounds even better with a better muffler and the intake silencer removed. Unfortunately, the sound doesn't give it power. lol
Because it's so underpowered though, it's an extremely reliable motor. Can't say the same for the trans...
my 93 tempo has the 3.0 vulcan 5-speed and that'll boil the front tires easily too lol

with the 24v Duratec engine, all you need to do is stomp down on the pedal to lay sum rubber ;)
