I agree Jeffrey and you're right too Rashtei. All over the net these lyrics are repeated, but they don't make sense. To my ears (and to my head) the first line of the song should be "They shut the gates at sunset." . Later "You can't watch it fade to grey" should be "You can watch it fade to grey." I suspect the wrong words got posted once and then got copied everywhere
