IRL should change this ridiculous blocking rule and let the drivers race each other.Overtakes happen all over the world,in every other racing category,without this "rule".Castroneves clearly won that race.

I normally dont watch Indy cars i am more a a NASCAR fan, so i am not a rule expert. It seems like they just wanted to award a race to 2nd place, why not just black flag every car for any reason until you get your driver in 1st place. Helio might of intentnally blocked and might not have. Its called RACING to expect some one to lift because they are in the inside is rediclous, next time just put him in the wall! they do it in NASCAR and when done intentional they only get a slap on the wrist

It’s really sad that Helio was robbed by such a poor call, I believe he made a great race, Helio had every right to be angry.

We shouldn’t allow this kind of tinkering with the race results, letting guys deciding who wins from a desk is just not good for the sport. It’s a great disservice to the racing community, that shouldn’t happen….. do we want a race where drivers surrender their spot to anyone gaining on them?

THe rule is the rule. Its a stupid rule, but sine they've been black flagging people for blciking all year I would have been pissed if helio didn't get a black flag. I guess some people want indycar to turn into Nascar where they make the rules up as they go. You all suck.

It's clear that PT and Marco had similar situation in the middle of the race, Barnhart simply didn't have the BALLS to call that one in front of the Canadians.

The only "blocking" that may have occured is Helio cutting in front of Dixon which forces Power to lift a little bit while turning into the chicane... But there is no obvious blocking between Helio and Power...

@TheChrisD You are wrong and you obviously do not know the rules. This has nothing to do with the inside lane. The rule states that you must pick which lane you are going to use. You get one move, you cant change course mid corner to block. This is a safety issue and an issue of racing. If there were no rules against a move like this, then there would be no passing and it would endanger both drivers. Many other drivers concur that it was an illegal block. Have a clue man.

These two went side by side through 1 into 2, and, how can you BLOCK someone that's alongside you? Your way of thinking really amuses me. Did Will get pushed into the wall? No, he had plenty of room.
