This is an absolutely amazing song! It reminds me of the hardships I've been through over the past couple of years and when I look back, I see where my blessings came. God lifted me out of suicide thought in the form of a 9 and 11 year old. "Something" told me not to do it because these kids were counting on me...I know what that "something" was!
this song refers to the blessings we seek but sometimes doen't see in our lives because they are not given to us in the neet little pacage we wanted. if you ask God for strength he's going to give you some heavy burdens in life, ask God for wisdom he's going to give you so hard problems to solve, ask for a new life he will take away the one you have. from our perspective the implications of going through hard things seems like we are being punished but God is trying to better you.

Amazing message! ... It's not saying God is sending suffering, it's saying that if it weren't for suffering, we wouldn't know how much He is there for us. They are "mercies in disguise" because they require us to lean and wait on Him, which in turn builds our personal relationship with our Savior! Yesterday, I dislocated my knee cap for the third time. It may not seem like much, but it's terrible. It's worse than breaking bones. It takes longer and the feeling is torture. I felt so betrayed by God and then I heard this song again, and I feel better.

amen. if God allows any kind of suffering in life, He has His reasons, but He will never cause the suffering. He allowed Satan to attack Job and in the end, God gave everything back to Job
@purity24c with all respect due :) It is in the Bible that God does cause suffering.Suffering is a human reaction to a hurtful event. Jesus Christ suffered on the cross and we know that this was a plan from The Father. Isaiah 53:10 "Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer..." but through this suffering God was showing His great mercy and love towards His dear creation.Everything else you stated is completely true :) It's awesome to know that we'll see Him soon! @marlenefdez well you would be mostly right. God doesn't cause our sufferings, Satan does. God just allows Satan to cause our suffering because God knows we are strong enough and that He wants us to come to Him if we can't. He allows sufferings because He knows good things can come out of them to glorify Him :)
@marlenefdez Yes, it says it was HIS WILL, but He didn't actually cause His pain and suffering. Suffering is a result of sin, and if Adam and Eve hadn't sinned, we wouldn't be suffering. Also, God is a God love so why would he cause suffering? That doesn't sound right, does it? It isn't. He allows suffering, but Satan is the one who is causing the pain and suffering. Not God. It says nowhere in the bible that God actually causes us to suffer.

@marlenefdez And remember Job? I believe God put that story in the bible so that we could understand even further that He is not the one who causes pain--Satan does. In the story, all the princes/leaders of the planets come and Satan comes as a representative of Earth. God and Satan have a little discussion over Job, and Satan claims that if God didn't bless Job, he would "curse Him to His face." So, God allows Job to suffer, but tells Satan not to touch him, kill him, etc.

My family's blessings have come through raindrops. My brother is currently in a mental hospital, due to a series of horrible text messages about us. It turns out he had extreme depression- though we didn't know by looking at him- and he even was planning his suicide. We could have woken up one morning and found him dead. Those 102 have no idea God's Blessings of love, healing, wisdom, prosperity, peace, and joy even exist in this world that once was pitched black, because of sin, every one had the fear of losing their lives over their sins and going to hell, but then God sent the blessing of his son, who is willing to take the punishment for something he was a victim of, just so we didn't have to!

Nice song. Don't attribute to God what the enemy has done. Satan came not, but to steal kill and destroy. God comes to give us life and life abundantly. God redeems out of suffering, but He is not the one who sends the suffering.

@purity24c with all respect due :) It is in the Bible that God does cause suffering.Suffering is a human reaction to a hurtful event. Jesus Christ suffered on the cross and we know that this was a plan from The Father. Isaiah 53:10 "Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer..." but through this suffering God was showing His great mercy and love towards His dear creation.Everything else you stated is completely true :) It's awesome to know that we'll see Him soon! @marlenefdez well you would be mostly right. God doesn't cause our sufferings, Satan does. God just allows Satan to cause our suffering because God knows we are strong enough and that He wants us to come to Him if we can't. He allows sufferings because He knows good things can come out of them to glorify Him :)

@marlenefdez Yes, it says it was HIS WILL, but He didn't actually cause His pain and suffering. Suffering is a result of sin, and if Adam and Eve hadn't sinned, we wouldn't be suffering. Also, God is a God love so why would he cause suffering? That doesn't sound right, does it? It isn't. He allows suffering, but Satan is the one who is causing the pain and suffering. Not God. It says nowhere in the bible that God actually causes us to suffer.

In the story, all the princes/leaders of the planets come and Satan comes as a representative of Earth. God and Satan have a little discussion over Job, and Satan claims that if God didn't bless Job, he would "curse Him to His face." So, God allows Job to suffer, but tells Satan not to touch him, kill him, etc.

I've a friend called Cole Smith. Yesterday he was give between a 10 and 5% chance of surviving lung cancer. Give onl weeks to live even with chemo AND radio therapy. I've been weeping ALL NIGHT then came across this song. And although still weeping I think its going to be tough but a blessing will come through it.

My family's blessings have come through raindrops. My brother is currently in a mental hospital, due to a series of horrible text messages about us. It turns out he had extreme depression- though we didn't know by looking at him- and he even was planning his suicide. We could have woken up one morning and found him dead.
