Wiht respect you may debate as long as you have proofs, otherwise it will be said tales. I think I have crucial proofs for the subject and you may refer to latest DNA tests on Somali tirbes which supported their relation to other Kushetic families. You can get that report thorough the google. Myself I have been researching on Somali history for some time and very confidant with my findings. The best proof is the language. Regards

With all do respect I doubt if you know the genetic make-up of every tribe in Somalia. Secondly, language is not the best proof due to the fact that mostly the majority imposes their language onto the minority directly or indirectly. Many minority languages are dying in east africa and in the world due the fact I stated.

You may call my assertion tales, but it is based findings of many.

  • Afar is the cousin of Somalis, they belong to the great Kushetic Family, of course we have common similarites as Daarood and Isaaq have similarites. The Kushite Nations are very large communities scattered thorough East Africa, North and Westren Africa. Pleas learn your peaple befor you do any comment. Regards.

I think you are wrong. Issaq and Daarood claim to be descended from Arabia with the arrival of Sheik Ishaq ibn Ahmad and Sheikh Abdirahman bin Isma'il at 12 century. So they are semetic not kushitic.

  • hey walaahi they are somalian brothers. the lokks like my sister walaahi

  • @Mygyves the title of the song is: yi ifoyta, which translates as my light. It,s a love song

  • @TheMohassan thank you so much!!!!!

  • Afars are the closest to their somali cusions.. Even macanay which is somali word also means (delicious) or sweet...

  • Afar women are gorgeous! They look like Oromo but a little darker. Every time I watch one of these beautiful East African music videos. I know that one day I have to visit Ethiopia and Eritrea. I think I'm going to have allot of East African children in my future. I want to learn Oromo and Amharic so they will know a little of their culture.
