@kersitie Thanks for listening bro. 90% of it is setting your sounds to hit at the right levels, with the mastering template I showed everyone on the tutorials I try to have my kicks hit for a total volume of -6 db, total volume of claps and snares around -10 db, hi hats in the -30 db range, remember if you layer your samples you have to take into consideration that even though they all are hitting at say -6 db, put together they are making a sound much louder than that.

Wanted to ask how many layers of sounds do you think is appropriate and doesn't feel too much? And one more question. I'm 15 and want to get a keyboard to hook up to FL Studio. Any suggestions on what to get?

@emreproductions95 Thanks bro! Hmm, really I don't think there's any magic number, the only real rule to music is if it sounds good. If you make something that sounds good with 10 layers or 2, all that matters is you like it. Use your intuition and experiment, I'm currently using an Axiom 61, it's a sturdy keyboard and has been serving me well, cheaper than an akai, but just as good in my opinion. Hope this helps

@Gazi2546 lol at first I hated it, but now I couldn't live without it, the visual aid is so helpful when arranging and composing, no guesswork or labeling involved, you can also "cut" patterns placed in the playlist editor whereas if they were just pattern blocks you wouldn't be able to, this allows me to save time and patterns by just "cutting" out the parts I don't need, also great potential for repeating sections, and just plain cool to look at lmao =]
