@savedtoxic I've been to Gary a couple of times - mostly to check out and take photos of the abandoned buildings. Despite the rumors of Gary being extremely dangerous, I've found the locals to be friendly and laid-back. And I'm a while guy.

@PowerplayoneTV No, they are metal shields for the windows. Gary, being a rough town, has a lot of houses where the windows have metal shields.

Oh man, I am soooo glad I watched this. Thank you so much for posting it. I have every intention of coming to Gary, Indiana to visit the Jackson home and to see the memorial to Michael. It looks very beautiful. Just imagining myself standing in front of Michael's childhood home and gazing upon that beautiful memorial stone brings tears. Thank you so much!

Who maintains the home? If it's considered a historical landmark (or given museum status), the city and/or state would be funding it via taxpayers' dollars, right?
