The EU is a disastrous thing. I'm from the Netherlands and it was one of the few countries in which the people were allowed to vote on the constitution via a referendum. We voted 'nay' massively. The EU constitution is now dead but not buried. Instead they're changing phraseology but not content and are not allowing a vote this time.

Difficult question (EU and Ron Paul, how does that work?). I personally would still support the idea of a European Union. But even Ron Paul is not against unity of the peoples. He's against bureaucracy which is implemented to serve the special interests. The EU is not legitimate. The people have no say in it. That's basically what I (as a German) am against, and what Ron Paul is against as well
