  • better this than an inbred hillbilly shooting it like a fag

  • Call me a tree hugger fag Idon't g. a. f. I'm not a hypocrite. I speak my point I don't claim to "love the outdoors and nature just to shoot it down/ claim its a tradition. You guys are sick. too much time on your hands that unfortunately your victims don't have. I support these trollers because they hate hypocrisy .trigger happy death freaks typically don't mix well with wildlife lovers. Nature's cancer would be the more appropriate Title to use for yourselves.

  • I love the 90's cartoon music

  • Wow you are right, a bullet would have killed this deer too fast. That lion caused absolutely no suffering! You commie animal activists might have something here. Due to the California moratorium on mountain lion hunting, I hope a lion comes after your little dog or cat next you pathetic commies. THE ONLY GOOD MOUNTAIN LIKN, IS A DEAD MOUNTAIN LION.

  • This is soooo much better and cleaner and less suffering than a bullet. Wow. Who knew.

  • I know it is nature, but I did want to save the buck.

  • The cougars better watch out the P.E.T.A people will be after them next.

  • I wonder why that deer's buddy didn't help him out?

  • DAMN NATURE YOU SCARY!

  • It's the circle of life.

  • did you see the onlooker buck what a pussy if i was him i would have f ed the lion up hahahaqhah

  • That Cougar has some serious stamina

  • Jst

  • Thanks goodness hunter didn't kill that buck. It might have suffered. Nature in all of its beautiful glory completing the circle of life...cue the lion king music...

  • damn nature you scarey

    lol

  • This looked like a young lion working on its skill set, adults usually bite the back of the skull and neck. Rare fottage just the same.

  • that couger really earned that meal

  • The cougar was putting his mouth over the nostrils and the mouth of the mule deer, so it can't breathe.

  • Damn nature, you took an arrow in the overused joke.

  • Great footage...skip the music next time.

  • that is amazing footage. one in a million!

  • fuck thats a big cat

  • It's a only a deer lol.... In Canada the main course is much larger Elk to 900 pounds and cow moose to 1200 pounds

  • I respect this animal and in awe of its hunting skills. I'm going to start bow hunting next year and starting out with deer first. I might want to hunt predators but depends if the population is good or not. Wolves are out of the question to me. I respect hunters but not for sport, for food.

  • i would have shot that fucking lion... fuck em all

  • @BIGBUCKDOWN144 pussy.

  • My ex-wife had a throat grip like that mountain lion.

  • That deer is probably only in the 115-125 range, but still cool video

  • Mountain lion steaks are excellent!

  • 0:43

  • this cougar got skills lol

  • i put animals in two categories simple and complex

simple such as deer tuurkey fish. it doesnt bother me when people hunt them

but when people shoot complex animals like bears tigers elephants i get very pissed.

  • now a rage to the lungs doesnt seem so bad now does it mister muley?

  • This is one of the most amazing animal videos on youtube. Thx!

  • thats sloppiest kill of all time normally its iover in less then 45 seconds. you can watch videos right now i just saw 3 of cougars killing full grown elk in seconds cougars are nasty evil waalking death in a fur coat. its too bad its sane folks get eaten by fu**ing things instead of the "oh poor pretty kitty:" peta idiots and tree huggers on you tube harrassing hunters on all cougar hunting vids. the tree huggers and peta freaks should be the eaten folks not us sane hunters rational folks

  • YEAH COUGAR!!!

AWESOME --- THAT'S WHAT YOU CALL "WORKING FOR YOUR DINNER"!

  • i thought it was very rare for a cougar to attack a mature mule deer buck , seems like it would be a much easier meal to go after a young doe or calf , mother nature never ceases to amaze me

  • agree. this is not cruel

  • This is not cruel, this is nature in action, the circle of life.

  • Awesome video!

  • Yay

  • for all you people say "this is cruel" this is life fuck off and get over it, the cat needs to eat too. its cal the circle of life.

  • That cougar earned his meal that day. He must have taken a terrible beating from those hooves.

  • The world is a cruel place. Look what the Jews do to humans. No different than in the animal kingdom.

  • I had a stand down with one a couple of years ago. Nearly pissed my self. I respect them though. Cause I was in there territory so I'm as fair game as any other animal in the forest. I will say this hunting in general, unless its for food, is a pussy "sport." Shooting something from far away is a bitch move. You want to hunt a mountain lion go after him with a knife head on and see who wins.

  • @Maximumcarnage2 Exactly. My view is LEAVE WILDLIFE ALONE. If you run a farm and reley on it as an income PUT UP MEASURES TO DISCOURAGE PREDITORS. Not shoot it. The human race evolved through nature, and we are the biggest threat to it..... Without nature we all would never evolved, and all our food comes from AND depends on nature.

  • @iloveit60 Poaching is bad. Legal, control hunting isn't. Poaching has caused extinction of species, also human expansion has caused more extinctions of species than anyform of hunting. Want to save animals? Stop clearing out land. White tailed deer populations actually exploded from legal controlled hunting while teddy roosevelt was president.

  • @iloveit60 Thank God I didnt grow up subscribing to YOUR "views". I was lucky enough to grow up hunting, fishing, and enjoying the bounty of nature that God himself created and provided for us.

  • @agcatdriver all well and good if you eat it all :-) then no problem.

  • @Maximumcarnage2 You would have to be an idiot to do that. Dead guys aren't tough when they're dead.

  • @Maximumcarnage2 God you're so ignorant. You realize humans are animals too right? We can hunt. It's not a pussy sport. Humans are top predators, we have the advantage of knowledge, creating weapons to kill easier. Humans aren't meant to hunt with their bare hands or with spears, unless you bring 10 men with you, in which you will probably lose a few, like the cave men did. What you just said is like telling a chameleon to hunt bugs without it's tounge. You obviously have never hunted before.

  • Comment removed

  • @Maximumcarnage2 Haahahahaha.

  • 3:40- 5:05. YOUR FACE GOD DAMNIT!

  • Wow! I've seen film of lions using the muzzle clamp to kill Cape buffalo and wildebeest, but I had NO idea cougars did it too!

  • @afghanstoray Tsk tsk.. some people are not going to realize it until they are on their death beds. I pity you friend, I hope you find your way...

  • Comment removed

  • @afghanstoray Remind you to go read "The Power of NOw." By Eckhart Tolle and realize what the terms "God" and "hell" really mean. So sick of reading spiritual cabbage comments, when people like you have no clue what they are talking about.

  • @mojothemigo I couldn't agree more, but there are a few exceptions of vegans. Pro skateboarder Geoff Rowley, is from Liverpool, UK, & spends about 90% of his time in the mountains of Colorado hunting cougars. Awesome, but rather contradicting in my opinion.

  • freaking great video awesome i hate cougars but they so powerfull such highly evolved killers its amazing to watch the bastards kill elk for pete sake this one had tough time with this buck but usually the buck or bull elk will lower horns charge the cougar rolls to back and 1 well placed bite to throat under neath is all windipe crushes it grabs it in first ite its over in minute this one was bad plad bites never got pipe undeder deers jaw like where a mans adams apple is is normal spot for em

  • Question, would the deer have stood a better chance if it didn't flee and used it's hooves and antlers? I think they can kick hard and gouge pretty good. I understand I am using logical human thought on an animal that has instincts to flee from preditors.

  • The North American mountain lion (aka cougar, panther, puma) is one of the most efficient predators in the world. Very rarely does one lose it's prey- as evident in this vid. Regardless of individual beliefs, this natural occurrence happens 1000s of times a day. The lion wouldn't exert this much energy if it wasn't for food. Without them, the entire deer population would be overwhelming. I feel it's best to keep them alive.

  • Amazing animal the cougar. Most Americans don't realise how lucky they are to have such magnificent animals in their wildlife - especially the inbred ones with small dicks who kill them.

  • I kinda agree with user2011rb, it's not a sport if your opponent doesn't know they are playing

  • "that's more cruel than shouting it with a rifle" well, you should know that this is the balance of life, predators kill to survive, not for sport or only pleasure like humans, sitting in a tree and wait to shot a deer or bear only for sport..in my opinion is a coward thing and not fair......

  • @user2011rb let's be frank, you wouldn't be any happier with the hunter using a bow or SNEAKING up on one whatever way. As far as "only for sport"...most hunters don't consider hunting to be a sport. Not reported with the football scores, last time I checked. As far as being "fair", is chopping a tree down for lumber fair to the tree? How about bulldozing a tract of land to build a house?

  • @davidleealford WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT????????just to let you know, hunters told me they do this for sport, that's what I said that and kill "for pleasure" is wrong my friend, we are very superior than animals..

  • @user2011rb why should hunting be unpleasurable? It's putting on a suit and tie early in the AM and being stuck in traffic on the way to and from the office that is unpleasurable. Hunting is a vacation to the paleolithic.

And hunters don't kill for pleasure. They hunt for pleasure and many for meat, there is a difference. But you can argue on and on for man's alienation from Nature which is exactly why our species finds itself on the brink of catastrophe.

  • @user2011rb you don't understand the hunt. If hunters were into killing for pleasure as a major motivator don't you think they might volunteer at a slaughter house? I said why should HUNTING be unpleasurable. The kill or more accurately the possibility of the kill has to be a component otherwise hunting is not authentic and it's photography or hiking, etc. Personally, I don't think we are superior to animals, just different. But if you want that hubris, fine go ahead and feel superior.

  • @davidleealford well that's interesting, in fact, I think we are very similar humans and animals, we sleep, animals sleep, we eat, animals eat, we protect our families, animals protect its cubs,so we are like brothers (animals and humans)one more reason to respect animals, don you think?..

  • @user2011rb I'm a hunter who respects all animals and the environment as well. The antecedent of your comments seems to be that hunters don't respect animals. I'm a fisherman as well, and just because I kil and eat fish does that mean I don't respect fish?

Man's alienation from Nature, the theory that somehow we are outside the circle of life, is the real example of Nature hating.

  • @user2011rb Animals also kill other animals. Forgot that fact.... look back at when we couldn't go to WalMart for some meat. We had to go and get it ourselves, so take your hippie bullshit off of here and go mind your own damn business

  • @tmack1634 take easy kid, I eat fish, and I like meat too, but there's a difference between hunting for survive,to feed, and go on a wekend to hunt for fun, and take a picture with a dead animal to hang on the wall of the house, but sure, you are so smart that you don't see the difference, leave it in that way...

  • @user2011rb So you are saying that I don't know the diference between hunting and just killing? It's not about the kill, it's about going out and watching the dogs work for a rooster to explode out of the grass, greenheads circling around your dekes right at sunrise. That's what hunting is. Everyone has this sterotype that hunters kill to kill, when in reality we kill to feed our family.

  • @user2011rb How about harvesting meat? It isn't just about sport, it's about food. What about cows, pigs, and chicken? Heck, they are raised, rounded up, and butchered. Shall we all be good little vegans for what is "fair" to the animal?

  • @mojothemigo well just to let you know, hunters told me they do this for sport, that's why I said that. understand something my friend, kill for pleasure it's bad. animals kill to feed, to survive. we are very superior than animals, and kill and animal because it makes me "feel good" is wrong.

  • Save the big cats? NEVER, not with my money. Anything that eats people can save itself or perish with the competition and that include at the gun barrel of a hunter!

  • @xxyc21 Pardon me, but there is a 1 in a million chance that a mountain lion will eat or even attack a person. Oh, and you know what the world would be like without predators? Chaos.

Tree hugger? Absolutely not. I don't know why people use that term when someone is just using common sense and loves animals.

  • @burnmoon1

Since I had to catch a bus at midnight in Mill Valley Ca, where mountain lions come down from Mt. Tamalpais, to catch deer that cross highway 101 in Marin, Co, Ca. I know the fear of terror associated with those who have been attacked. They have been spotted with empty bellies hanging out near primary schools in Palo Alto , Ca. Nature activist were deceptive in there last attempt keep hunters from thinning out their over population.

    KILL THE GODDAMN BEASTS

  • @xxyc21 Well that could be human caused too. Like, if your driving them out of their natural terrain, then of course they will be hungry right? Another thing- maybe people are killing to much dear than they are supposed too. Like hunting out of season. If the animal HAS to be killed, like it has rabies or something, then I don't care- it's for the good of the animal and people. But if it's just minding it's own business, not doing anything bad, then I disagree.

  • lol its an animal juijitsu fight

  • This mountain lion is so biger like a lioness

  • That mountain lion has guts.

  • What amazing footage! You are lucky to have witnessed this!

  • 160 Class? Right..

  • thats how we do it in New Mexico!!!!

  • Shooting a deer I don't care about but guys who shoot mountain lions and bears I don't know, just don't seem right.

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds Totally agree. Killing a cougar is just a stupid sport.

  • @fontelonga No it's not

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds Predators are like us... That's why.

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds Killing because you think it's fun is wrong altogether.

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds Read the book The Beat in the Graden: A True Story of a Predator's Deadly Return to Suburban America by David Baron. It is the best book I've ever read, and makes things really click together. It talks about how Boulder, CO basically paved the path for disaster with cougars, from a ecology standpoint.

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds yo

i am the same way. exzactly.

    deers are simple animals

bears and mountain lions are complex so we feel bad for them.

im so happy somebodyelse feels like this!

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds why dont you give us your oppinion on what the difference is.

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds you must not live around em i have one terrorizing my area and family farm i took a shot at him missed but hopfully gives it a more fear of humans if we dont hunt these things slightly we will have attacks because people keep building houses in there spot instead of just remodeling old homes. so they over populate and humans are forced to hunt

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds its all a cycle then the bears lions will overpopulate... its a cycle that cant be stopped we have preserved the consevation for so many species by hunting its called game magagement its not go kill everything you see! there is WAY more to it.

  • This was epic, excellent work kitty, you won your meal for the week

  • 4 stars Short Film

  • @afghanstoray There was no need for a God reference in your post, nor a negative comment toward Christianity. Everything in this world happens... because God allows it to happen. After all, in the end Earth will become Hell and those that believe in Him will not have to endure it. This video has nothing to do with God's mercy, but everything to do with His will. He allowed it to happen. My advice would be to open the Bible before you make a bold statement against Christianity my friend.

  • buldetham- idaho does manage there numbers. they never meet there quota thats why there an over the counter tag. but not all units.

  • @ Kylie, this video represents why they're not good! They are whipeing out our deer population. I think there beautiful creatures aswell but it just makes me sick! How would u like to be stuck in the brush with one of these cougars with out a rifle? Would u think omg you are soooo pretty! come here kitty kitty kitty... Uh noo you would be deeeaaaaaaad! Typical Jap.

  • @KickincountryD They are NOT wiping out the deer population! They are balancing it! Ugh! I can't believe people like you! >.< I mean, without cougars there would be deer population overload. It's a BALANCE.

You think we are so stupid to play with a wild animal? We respect them, they are powerful creatures.

*calms a bit* Okay, i now realize you don't know any better. You are too blind to see the truth about these magnificent animals.

  • @burnmoon1 To echo what you are saying, they now know even TREES are decimated without the Cougar--no shit. Too many deer, tree sprigs get eaten, don't grow, no shade over water, water gets hot, fish die! It is amazing. Now, in Yellowstone they know the wolves limit cougar numbers--it all started when people decided to kill off a given animal. I'm not against hunting, but am for sure against "wiping out" any of em--that's really dumb.

  • @KickincountryD Deer and cougar balance each other, slow/old/sick cougar die, slow/old/sick deer die. Now, they know it effects TREES--no kidding. Too many deer, small trees get eaten and can't grow. Those trees don't offer shade near water, water gets hot, fish die. Nature knows what she is doing, no need for us to call any of it "not good". Too many cougar? Now, with wolves back in some areas, they know the wolf reduces cougar numbers. Sounds kind of like "balance" doesn't it?

  • amazing!

  • wow what is with the music!!! its a succes for the cougar!!!! maybe its time for us to stop thinking about cruel good bad evil its nature its just the way it is... by the way awesome video

  • Shoot 'em both!

  • @Nightmare3mo Shut up you dirty shit. Cougars are the most beutifull creatures in the world. You sir, deserve to be shot yourself.

  • The only good cougar is a dead one. Unless your talking about a 30 year old blonde. ;)

  • @KickincountryD You a fucking typical american cunt. "Kill it! Shoot it!". Leave them alone. Im not some fucking hippie or something but I just hate you americans.. Cougars and wonderfull animals, What have they done to deserve to be killed.

  • All big cats have world class Jiu Jitsue. They fight from their back many times. But have incredible wrestling ability. Not to mention speed.

  • Holy Christ Amighty - keep the jesus stuff separate.

Idaho claims they manage Mt. Lions - but they allow an unlimited number of lions to be killed.

  • This Guy Is Wrong About How he Said lions Will Try Break Its Neck Thats A Characteristic Of The Tiger. All Big Cats Kill Prey By Attacking The Throat. The Lion Attacks Its Preys Throat And Nose 2 Suffocate. Also Another Interesting fact About Large Cats Is The Jaguar Or Panther Is The Only Cat To Kill With A Bite To The Skull.

  • cats are the ultimate killer machines.

  • What a waste of a buck... This shit pisses me off so bad i hate it but its so natural ya know? If i would have been there i would have really had to refrained from shooting that lion. Where im from the game wardens say shoot the hell out of lions and wolfs. Love it!

  • @TheDerick435 In Yellowstone, they now have wolves, as you know. Finally they got balance back as cougar numbers are in fact controlled by the wolf--nature sure knows what she is doing. Same with Elk--the young, the fast, the strong, don't get caught and old/sick/slow/crippled cougar starve. Yeah, excepts like a rutting buck, but by and large, left alone, nature balances itself out pretty damn well.

  • @afghanstoray i don't know why you included the god references but i agree with what you are saying about being programmed by nature and i don't have a problem with it.

i have a problem with non-hunters forcing their opinions on the hunting community in the form of saying hunters are cruel and unusual. lol nature is cruel enough all by itself.

  • @adudeuknow No nature is fair.

One animals power and skill vs the others. Sitting in a tree, and waiting for a deer to swing by and then shooting it is not fair.

Got get a spear and kill for food. Then you can call yourself a hunter. Untill then your a man shooting animals.

BTW I am not a tree hugging hippie. I go bird hunting often. But saying this is cruel is ignorant.

  • @adudeuknow Nature is not hell . Nature is the process of everything surviving and doing what it needs to survive . Nature is just animals keeping on keeping on .

  • where'd the other deer go? it looked like it was going to help then just left.

  • @maxbps8 Those deer were in the rut, probably were fighting each other when the cat attacked. The deer that didn't get attacked wanted to kick that other buck's ass, but the cat did it for him, big-time. Neat video. So much for the argument that they only prey on the sick and the weak. They definitely prey on the "distracted" as well....

  • @Driftboatbum - well "distracted" is "weak".... not being alert is a weakness. "survival of the fittest".

  • Mountain lion populations are dropping in most places--read the science. A lion will take down a deer probably once a week to every 10 days. Lions managed to keep deer, elk, etc alive for tens of thousands of years. Hunters and poachers kill far more ungulates than lions, without providing the ecological benefits. Probably, most people can figure out that large cats, and in fact, most any animal that eats meat, kills other animals on a regular basis. Thank you for the post.

  • It happend on dec 9 thats my birthday!!!!!!

  • for the majority of western north america the mountain lion population is out of control. people dont realize that lions repeat killing, mainly deer, one to two times a week. add this in combination to the wolf crisis and you will find that our deer , elk, and moose populations are headed to lows that havent been seen in decades.

  • @jsw42440 - "lows that haven't been seen in decades"... well that's probably a better balance. shooting with guns is more the problem.

  • Amazing footage this is awesome to view, thanks for posting. wow just amazing.

  • Should have taken the lion out rather than film it. In the desert southwest we have been under a very long drought that has taken a heavy toll on mule deer in many areas. Lions will take down a deer size animal every 7-10 days. While they have their place in nature the drought decimated deer herds can not sustain heavy predation and hunting pressure.

  • Ah, the circle of life folks

  • Great video but the play by play by Mr. Carhart is a joke!!

  • Wow, I wonder how long in actual time it took that cougar to take out that deer

  • sounds like old cartoon music

  • Well thats not a 160" deer, but awesome footage none the less

  • @muleyhunter1 The gentlemen at the beginning of the video knows much more about scoring a mule deer than the vast majority of hunters. If he says it is a 160 class buck, odds are it IS a 160 class buck.

  • @nmelkhunter1 Well maybe it looks bigger to him, what is this mulie? a 3x4? maybe 130, not 160.

  • hahaha...the music

  • Would have been a great film had this fella shut the fuck up and ditched the bullshit music!! I have way expected Marlin Perkins to walk into the video..

  • It's a bit like an mma or wrestling takedown. Same principles of weight and leverage are involved.

  • that thing come by my house i kill it!

  • @kawirider920

    Damn, that thing got ate!

  • Whoa! Very lucky cameraman. To witness nature in full on action.

  • That's more cruel than shooting it with a rifle.

  • @cubanazo123 couldn't agree more....nature is a cruel, cruel place. amazing video though.

  • @cubanazo123 how? I'd love to hear this.

  • @cubanazo123 Who shooting it with a rifle don't need the buck's meat to survive. The cougar needs.

  • @cubanazo123

That's nature, nothing you can do about nature running its course. Us on the other hand, with higher cognitive ability should act like we have higher cognitive ability. No respect for sport hunters, if you are going to eat the animal then I see the argument.

  • @cubanazo123 - yeah? well the cougar's job is much harder than someone who can stand afar off and just pull a trigger.
