Who needs health care. For the pat 29 years my wife and kids have and no health care and I(we) save about $400 dallors a month on average maybe much more. When my boy broke a huge part of his arm, it cost me about $20,000. Three months later I filed bankrupt and kept the house, 3 cars, got rid of 100% of all hospital bills and on top of it over 80% of my credit card bills($23,000). And this is my second time bankrupt. Obama and crew want you to feel at ease about this bill by saying you can keep your insurance. But even you said you would consider the Gov't plan if it was cheaper or "better". Thats the exact problem. People who believe the plan they have now is too expensive will go to the Gov't plan, also those who don't have it but want it. This will provide competition at first, but eventually..the private insurance industries would suffer by the Gov't intervention causing some to go bankrupt.

Shouldn't we care more about covering everyone rather than the insurance companies' profits? You realize that the profits are the result of one or all of the following scenarios:  people's claims are denied, their policies are dropped when they become too expensive (when they're the sickest) or premiums are higher than they need to be. And these profits are on top of administrative costs (underwriters- a.k.a. claim deniers) which are way higher than Medicare and Medicaid.

I had a back surgery that cost over 6 figures. I had it 30 days after seeing the surgeon, which took less than 30 days. It cost me 0 dollars. The insurance was private, and cost about 160 a month for family. Leave my insurance alone! If you think that this is a good idea, than you have not read the bill. Wait until they start adding pages, last min, and change the bill number so you can't follow what is being done; just like the "crap in trade/carbon tax" bill.

Also, all businesses with 25 plus employees will have to pay for their employees insurance or if opting out, then supply them with a check each month in equal amount. Um! I read the bill and it limits care for special needs and mentally ill. It also places euthenasia counseling as an option. That is disturbing. Especially with the science czar writing a book on how to systematically limit birth, and the bad genes by sterilizing our water it scary!!

NO, it does not limit care for special needs. It limits the ENROLLMENT period to before Jan 1, 2011, to the open enrollment period, or to when the special need is diagnosed.

And NO it does not place euthanasia counseling as an option. It gives patients on medicare the ability to, once every 5 years, obtain the service of getting help educating thmselves about living wills, power of attorneys, DNR forms, and other advance directives that play a VITAL part in helping doctors provide care.
