I agree with you. I am a Christian, and many Christians misinterpret the Bible. Condemning someone is wrong as well as pushing your beliefs on someone. If you want to talk to someone about your beliefs fine, but pushing them to believe what you believe is wrong.

A theory is a hypothesis supported by fact and there is no facts that support god or the FSM. Your "theory" is wrong because no one can live to 300, therefore it's false.

I know 2 of the people on the school board personally. They're both religious & they've never pushed a religious agenda. The coach continually took 5 min breaks to talk about God. But it was a church league so we really didn't have a right to complain. I've never needed to argue with creationists.

She then glared at me and said "why?" In a disgusted voice. I was only in middle school and felt really hurt. A theory is a hypothesis supported by fact and there is no facts that support god or the FSM. Your "theory" is wrong because no one can live to 300, therefore it's false.

@BlObMiStReSs Actually God isn't a theory. A theory in science is the highest rank a hypothesis can attain. In order to become a theory it must be presented as a hypothesis that is edited, pulled apart and ridiculed by fellow scientists for years until it is proven accurate or wrong. Gravity is a theory, evolution is a theory, as these have gone through that process. Unfortunately God is not a theory. Uneducated people often don't know the correct definition of a scientific theory.

What you just said is, at best, a hypothesis, and a rather shoddy one at that. Besides, unless we have some longevity breakthrough, it would be difficult to start the research. Not to mention it doesn't identify the mechanism behind the explosion--is it the person, or something else?

Its just something tossed around to explain things that we currently have no explanation for. Unless you are referring to the layman's term. The scientific term of theory is much more complicated. I know 2 of the people on the school board personally. They're both religious & they've never pushed a religious agenda. One of them is our pack cubmaster & there's a prayer before every meeting but that doesn't hurt my feelings. We once had a problem with a basketball league. The coach continually took 5 min breaks to talk about God. But it was a church league so we really didn't have a right to complain. I've never needed to argue with creationists.

SCIENCE SHOWS THAT THE UNIVERSE could not have sustained itself eternally because of entropy (even in an open system). Einstein confirmed that space, matter, and time had a beginning! That beginning had to be supernatural because natural laws have no ability to bring the universe into existence from nothing. EINSTEIN CONFIRMED that space and time are just as physical as matter. That's why space and time can be altered by gravity, and space produces particles. Einstein's equations show that the universe couldn’t be eternal. It had a beginning. Einstein believed, because of science, in the existence of God behind the origin and order of the universe. He didn't believe in a personal God like Christians do, but he did believe science pointed to the existence of an all powerful and intelligent Creator

EXPLAINING HOW AN AIRPLANE WORKS doesn't mean no one made the airplane. Explaining how life and the universe works doesn't mean there's no Maker behind them. Natural laws explain how the order in the universe works, but mere undirected natural laws can't explain the origin of that order. Once you have a complete and living cell then the apparatus exists to direct the formation of more cells, but how did that first cell originate?
