I had two adult rabbits that we'd keep outside. It was in a cage, but the cage led down into a huge fenced-in area where they could run around whenever they felt like it. And whenever they dug an escape, we'd open the gate and my cat would literally coral them back in. He was such a hunter--killed EVERYthing--but he apparently knew not to eat these particular rabbits. Go figure.

And, then, the female got pregnant and had babies without us even knowing. Those rabbits sure work quickly.
