And then the water-true feelings and emotions-can flow again.

But he is still afraid of love and intimacy because even if justice has been done he still has scars on his soul and grease on his hands.

The robot like man in the bar is his father-enabling for his mother and absent for his son-a shadow of a man.

His morality -policeman-reminds him to not seek revenge, only restitution.

Narcissists live in a dream world and treat people they meet as "representing something" instead of people in their own right deserving of respect and consideration. Narcissists have strong projections and prejudices onto people based on strict categories and expectations, and they are judged harshly according to whatever shallow value system he holds. Utilitarian. Knowing that people represent certain parts of one's psyche can be healthy, in the case of the narc, it's murderous to the other
