thanks so much bro. even with this cheap 12 dollar pc reciver(non microsoft) i was able to make it sync :). although it didnt work with Xp, i had to split Hd for xp and for win7(works) :p I dont it will work with xp -.-.

@DTProtoss Not really. DO NOT try to play games with the charge and play kit; it will charge, but you won't be able to play. (Guess who tried this...) If you get a wired controller, you just need to download the non-wireless driver. AGAIN you will NOT be able to use the charge and play kit. For wireless controllers, you NEED the Wireless Gaming Receiver for Xbox 360. I suggest Amazon, mine was cheap.

well mine worked about 2-3 days ago but now it doesn't... I tried reinstalling, using a different controller, different USB slots... im completely baffled by how it just stopped working. Could you help me?

@awelshcreature Dear awelshcreature it seems that 90% of the people who follow my instructions seem to get the receiver connected with no problems. Then theres that 10% who seem to run into the same problem you have, which is not being able to choose the 2.1.0 version driver. The most I can say is to reinstall the drivers from the website and then reboot. But at the moment I can't figure out why its doing that, so I will look into it for you and let you know as soon as I can

@cips850 No sorry I wish it could but it can't. The charge and play kit only powers the controller, it doesn't send data from the controller to the computer. In other words if you have wireless controllers you will need the receiver (no other way other it).

@ISybreedI Your welcome man, I just want people to be able to use the receiver and get there money's worth thats all. It sucks to know that Microsoft is to lazy to fix the problem, but when someone does get the receiver working properly its extremely fun to use. I use my receiver almost everyday and especially on road trips with my laptop. But personally thank you for your comment its the best one I've gotten so far.

@mochure Okay try this, open your device manager with out the receiver plugged in. Then plug in the receiver and keep an eye out for what popped up extra on the list. If you found the receiver, then all you gotta do is right click on it to uninstall it and follow the instructions from my video to install it again. Hope that helps.

@ModdingTutorials98 If you want to use xbox 360 wireless controllers, then yes you need to use the receiver (no other way around it). But if you want to use the wired controllers, then all you need to do is download the drivers. As for the damaged files, I would go back to the website and try redownloading the driver and make sure you picked the correct specs for your computer.
