To everyone hating on Meego, you guys realize that isn't even a beta. It is an alpha developers preview. Which means, it's barely got any features in it and is far from complete.

Meamo5 is debian based and thus used .deb with apt and dpkg,

Meego is rpm based, and even though its linux, it slow, more unstable and the worst future for Nokia.

I started in Linux with Mandrake, Mandriva, Fedora, which was rpm based, i then moved to Ubuntu (Debian) and can and will never return to rpm based. The speed and stability is noticeable and in the long term you notice these 3 -5 second pauses. also boot up times is horrible in Meego there,
