now because its polamer coated dose that make it feel almost like its made of plastic or do u still feel like ur holding a nice metal gun cause if i hold a gun and i feel like its going to fall apart im not going to feel safe shooting it

@rchunterboy785 a school kid can see this gun lacks at the shop compared to other brands and worst gun Remington has ever put their name on! Would not put one in my safe if you give it to me for free...plenty of other choices in the same price range with way better quality.

i have the waterfowl edition and love it i use it for all my hunts small or big game its awsome

Dont like it because its a poor qulaity shotgun. Remington has tried to duplicate a Benelli Nova or SuperNova.....sorry they failed miserably. The SuperNova has comfort tech stock, shim kit, 3 chokes, 5yr warranty and the gun will actually hit where you aim! all for an extra $70. , , ,  , , , ,

Randy Wakeman give this gun the "clunker of the year award" in 2009.....also said worst shotgun reviewed in a decade! Very poor quality gun.

I just purchased this gun about 5 months ago and its amazing. And I also have the super nova first off the Remington 887 has way less felt recoil and muzzle jump. And also since the Remington's front sight is smaller you actually hit where you aim the big front sight on the super nova makes you aim low.  Don't be making fun of a gun if you don't have it.

the only complaint i have is when cleaning it the bolt carrier is kind of a pain in the ass to get back in but the rest off the gun is awesome

im a remington guy through and through, but idk if i can put down my 870 wingmaster magnum for this shotgun. i do like the idea of being able to bang it around a little due to its protective coating, but the action of the wingmaster is soooo much better.

I held this gun in the store and it felt like a kid put it together. I handed it back to the salesman and right after I ordered a supernova brand new from the factory in italy. It should be here in the next 2 weeks. I am excited.

I am in turmoil. I choose next week on either this or a supernova. I am torn, its like they both have so much to offer. I want a gun thats going to last me for a long ass time and be durable and the benelli just seems like a winner in all cases. But this 887, it looks badass and it is $100 bucks cheaper. I dont know, man. I will have to sleep on this one.

@DEACONAP4LOVE spend the extra $100 for.....comfort tech stock, 3 chokes instead of 1, 5yr warranty instead of 2, better fit & finish, and the gun will shoot to point of aim with better patterns. Or look around for a better price on the SuperNova.

i love shooting the remington 870 express i think its a great gun for anything i also think that shooting the m500 is like getting kicked by a mule becouse of the disgusting recoil and the gun is really crappy but really dont take me wrong i to like the m887 but if i were to rank the guns i would say m887 rocks 870 rocks even more and the m500 is a load of bs

I got this gun recently and DAMN!!!! It's badass. Smooth action, handles recoil like a pro. I'd say it will become an instant Remington classic

people say its action is the same with a little used mossberg 500 ......and thats unacceptable for a remington ,i own the 870 and a m500 ..mossy s action isnt even close as smooth as my 870..... ( in my opp remingtons masterpieces in shotguns will always be the 870 and the 1100...i doubt any other model will surpass them

Thanks for the review. I live Wisconsin as well, me and the guys go up to Crandon some times to camp. I need something that will stand up to the elements. My buddy ended up ruining a shotgun up there due to the conditions. We only carry it in case of bear. I would use it for all around hunting myself.
