Aww Titli! I must admit when I saw you were a "westerner", I thought you wouldn't have "the goods"! But, can I now say how wrong I was?!!! You are clearly an excellent cook who knows precisely what you're doing!
... I also love the "Motherly" way you talk too. Makes me feel like I'm back at home with me 'ole Maaa!!! :(
Even though there wasn’t any Stock Cube and Coconut powder in my larder, I made Kofta Curry and it was yummy. All the dry spices provided extra oomph to the dish and we all loved it a lot. Thanks a lot TN.
WOw I'd like to say Titli that it was the best kofta I ever had and I am from Pakistan. You even surpassed my mother. keep up the good work. we are going to prepare bombay beef biryani now!!!
I made this today....the balls were the only thing I could eat, (and they were yummy!) because the chilli in the curry base was 'too hot to handle' if you'll excuse my language :-D I'll probably decrease it by a third next time.
DH thought it was perfect and not too hot. Men have no taste, I swear -_-
P.S...love the fact you dont fry the meatballs first..so much better this way..the balls really suck up all the gravy flavour...well done...going to cook them tonight...nice variation on coconut..i will also add some yogurt to my gravy for extra oomph. thanks Titli
this lady is a gangster! im asian and she cooks like a proper asian woman! the eating advice at the end i think i sould avoud dont think the misses would like that lol!!
Oh that's nice to see someone like me. I mean Europian who is cooking assian dishes and wears shilwar kameez. My husband is pakistanian and I'm glad that I could find such a videos, that makes my cooking easier!!!
Gonna make this tomorrow, wanted to hear if i can replace the curry leaves with bay leaves? or something else as i cant get curry leaves...and thanks for your lovely recipes and great videos.
@jenserik37 I guess you have a choice - use a bay leaf if you wish (just one) but the flavour will be slightly different... OR just cook it without the curry leaves. It'll still taste good!
it was oniony flavor, guess the onions had to be browned,
regarding the trifle ,i haven't tried it yet, would'nt the warm jelly makes the cake sponge too soggy? as i put the thick custard over the sponge and my jelly cubes go on the top!
The warm jelly soaks into the sponge and sets like the rest of the jelly, so you have a sponge-jelly base. It must be set before you pour the custard in!!!
btw my mom also made this but she uses Persicaria odorata or Vietnamese coriander instead of coriander also she fried the meatballs 1st.. wow different places, different style of cooking rite?
i love ur advice about the double mincing will try !
"Meatballs in sauce" has many variations around the world. If I remember rightly, the Greek version (Keftedes) and the Russian version (Bitokes) fries the meatballs first also.
Not only is Titli gangsta, she rules youtube. Love Ya Titli!

Hi Titli! long time follower, first time poster :)
I cooked this Kofta recipe a while back and I added chicken livers and it turned out great! :)
I've posted the links for the photos on my channel as youtube does not allow links to be included in comments :(
