  • I love Jon Snow and Kit Harington is amazing as him... you can see the anguish in his face. I also love that he has a good relationship with his siblings.

  • Snow and Tyrion are my favorite characters, who else agrees?

  • My favorite character from the Series :D

  • @xIncineration Same =D

  • Whenever I read a book and think a character is great, I always hope he or she isn't gonna look bad in the movie/series XD

  • Jon. Fucking. Snow.

    MY BODY IS READY

  • No one is totally evil or totally good. Except Joffery who is totally a dick!!

  • @evez476 that is exactly what I was going to say but you beat me to it. XD

  • @evez476 he's a spoiled child. To a scary degree

  • @evez476 and tywin lannister, he treats tyrion like shit

  • <3 Jon Snow. He will always be my favourite <3

  • Thay kinda HAVE to age the charters a bit. Its aright for a book to have 13-16 year olds fighting,Drinking and having sex left right and centre but it wouldn't really work for an American tv series! Hell the drink limit is 21 and half the bloody country want to ban it altogether!.

  • @MrBizteck dude didn't you ever wonder why nobody in the fucking series has an american accent? they were no america in acient time in the land of whatever the story is located. that's some real quality right there

  • @momsbabyboy ??? where in my comment was I complaining about the lack of american accents? Did ya bother your arse reading the Several comments over the last number of pages because if you did you would read a number wondering/complaining why are the actors in the TV series older than their counterparts in the book. I was stating that AS its an AMERICAN TV show form and AMERICAN production company Created by 2 AMERICAN producers for and AMERICAN tv network for a manly AMERICAN audience.......

  • @momsbabyboy Then it is understandable HBO would age the people to allow for the conservative in AMERICA towards 'under-age' Sex, Violence and Alcohol. Thank you so much for pointing out the lack of a real continent in a fictional story set in a fictional world perhaps Mr Martin hasn't got round yet to write a fictional Christopher Columbus to find it yet ?- Joke ! for the record I am Irish so its great seeing all the Irish actors getting screen time.

  • @MrBizteck well then fuck conservative americans, that don't wanna watch it, i'm sure there are plenty alternatives. i like it very much the way it is, the mixture of authenticity(things like underage marriages...)and completly made up stuff, it gives the series almost a historic ambient. anyway what is your opinion and don't tell me you like it.

  • @momsbabyboy Ok... Err again an I writhing in French here? or are you unable to calm down and actually READ what I am writing? WHERE in any of my comments have I made a single complaint against either the book or the TV show? I said I UNDERSTAND why the show had to make some changes I nether said did I agree with them or not Big difference there. Now which 'it' an I not allowed to like ? The book ? ( One of the best and most absorbing fiction series I have ever read) or is it the HBO series.

  • @MrBizteck which I actually enjoyed a lot so much I watched the 10 episodes in 3 days. So again what's your problem with me ! If ya read the book at all you know Jon is 15 but here he looks 18 same with all the rest, people were asking why that was and I was giving an explanation why. Not complaining or indeed attacking anyone. I think you misread my first comment and have kept a 100% record since :)

  • Also the adults are older in the show as well. Some of them are even 15+ years older.

For example in the book Cat is in her 30's and pretty good-looking. In the show she looks like a grandmother.

  • In the novel (Game of Thrones) he is supposedly 14 years old, but in the HBO series all the characters, or at least the young ones, are 2 or 3 years older.

  • Comment removed

  • "No one is totally evil..." Except Joffery, and the Frey family, and Roose Bolton and his son. Cersei may have some good in her, but not much.

  • Nobody's totally good in this series, yes. Nobody's totally evil? Gregor Clegane, the Bloody Mummers, Joffrey, and Ramsey Bolton say hi.

  • For the Watch...

  • @LectorEmpedernido13 Well, Daenerys doesn't seems a 13 year old girl, either. I think that the whole cast is a little bit older than the characters in the books, but I have to say that I would like it much more if the characters were as old as the actors. But...

  • @x1nanako1x If they were, Then Daenerys couldnt do any sexual scenes, Even if it is just showing her breasts.

  • "You know nothing Jon Snow"

  • and his name is kit

    oh, my

i think i just fell in love

  • Spoiler: Jon Snow is actually Jon Targaryen.

  • @IrrelevantSquid That hasn't been confirmed yet, it's just a hypothesis. Although it is pretty obvious, but you never know with George rr Martin.

  • @IrrelevantSquid Hasn't been confirmed but if that was true, then Jon would move up to my ultimate favourite character

  • @IrrelevantSquid BULL! Are you serious?! I haven't read the books yet!

  • @Fodgegirl91 It hasn't ever been definitively stated. But when you look at the timeframe of his birth (right around the time Lyanna, who was almost certainly Rhaegar's lover, died), and the mysterious promise that she made Ned take on her deathbed, and you begin to realize that Ned's honor wouldn't have let him actually father a bastard, but to claim Jon as his own, in order to keep the child from being killed by Robert? Much more in keeping with the character.

  • @Fodgegirl91 And it would explain why he is SO defensive of the mother's identity, to the point that he scares his beloved wife with the intensity of his defense.

  • @IrrelevantSquid That would be epic.... but I'm not believing it :( I couldn't take the disappointment.

  • so hot.

  • Best character

  • R+L=J

  • Jon is probably the character I like in this show the most outside of his father.

Though I have to admit, when I first started watching I found it odd that his being an illegitimate child would cause so many people to treat him the way they do.

I suppose you could call that sheer ignorance of history on my part and I'd probably agree.

But still, I don't think anyone today would even bat an eyelid over that aspect of his character, let alone treat him like filth.

  • 4 people are Lannisters..

  • thanks for the spoilers.

  • R+L=J

  • jon snow was running from wildlings....until he took an arrow to the knee

  • @lordsk3 HE DID! HE DID TAKE AN ARROW TO THE KNEE!

  • @lordsk3 i think this is the first time I read that, and I actually laughed lol.

  • 4 people know nothing.

  • Winter is coming.....bitch

  • Ser Alliser´s bane.

  • He just gotta watch out so he doesn't get stabbed in the back like his family was.

  • "For the watch."

  • His father is Rhaegar Taergaryen and his mother is Lyanna Stark. That's why Ned will never tell anyone who Jon's mother is.

  • @gasbait Nope... Read the books!

  • @Diogopam

It is wildly rumored that His Father and mother are Lyanna and Rhaegar. Most people think Ned is too noble to father a bastard and there are other clues throughout the five novels. I suggest you reread the books, and wish people like Gasbait wouldn't do spoilers for those who haven't read the series yet.

  • @diedahero Nah i cant... Unfortunately there are only 3 available on my country... I still have to wait two weeks to get book 4. =\\\\

  • @gasbait I'm reading the book..u just like ruined the whole thing -.-

  • @xXjinxwolfXx It's never actually said in the books, it's just a fan theory, although there are loads of hints.

  • @like2surf omg srry then XD i just finished the first book so i was like wahhhh?!! i can see how that would happen though

  • Jon is definitely my fav character

  • Team Jon Snow!!!

  • Jon's definitely one of my favourites, along with Arya, Dany and Tyrion.

  • There have been some theories going on that Jon isn't really Ned's son but his sister Lyanna and Rhaegar's since it's clearly said in one of the books (don't remember which one) -------SPOILER------SPOILER ALERT-----SPOILERALERT-SPOILERALERT-SPOILERThat Rhaegar fell in love with Lyanna when he saw her at a tourny at Harrenhall, and that is the reason Ned never told Catelyn who Jon's mother was.

  • @SuperLeetdude Man, I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought that Rhaegar and Lyanna were Jon's parents.

  • @killercrow24 Lol don't worry I didn't spoil anything it's just a fan theory :P

  • Jon = Favourite. Character. EVER. He lost his loved one thought :( "You know nothing Jon Snow."

  • The Prince that was promised.

  • @KinaskiAuditore Fan theory: R+L=J

  • His name isnt Snow! It's TARGARYEN!!! YOU KNOW NOTHING

  • @AnahSkywalker You mean Rhaegar - Lyanna? Hahahaha, yeah

  • @AnahSkywalker Thanks for spoiling it!

  • i love the fantasy around warg and white walkers

  • Jon is the Ice and Fire (Stark and Targaryen).

  • @angelandbitch48 What do you mean Targaryen?

  • so damn sexy my fav character cant wait 4 season 2

  • god i LOVE Jon Snow =D

  • He doesnt look like a 14 years old boy....

  • @LectorEmpedernido13 Now I may be wrong as I haven't actually checked, but I think HBO made a few of the characters a bit older so it's more fitting for TV. For example Dany in the books is like 13/14 right? But no way can they show a supposed 14 year old girl having graphic sex each episode, so they just make her a bit older haha I don't know for sure but that's my theory. I actually prefer the characters a bit older, but that's me :P

  • @LectorEmpedernido13

There's lots of good reasons why the age's of some characters in the show are different from the book.

  • @LectorEmpedernido13 everyone got aged for the show

  • @LectorEmpedernido13

In the TV show they raise everyone's age by 3 years. So Daenerys is 16 not 13, Bran is 10 not 7, and Jon is 17 not 14.

  • @LectorEmpedernido13 they changed it to 17 or 16 for the show

  • @LectorEmpedernido13

I'll would do that 14year old boy.

  • @LectorEmpedernido13 They literally made EVERYONE older. in the books Ned is 35 and Dany is 13

  • @Theriot6592 Well of course during the time period in which this show supposedly takes place, people had shorter lifespans than they do now so they looked older at younger ages.

  • @LectorEmpedernido13 in the show he is ~17

  • @LectorEmpedernido13 Well, Martin himself has said that they had to make them a bit older because otherwise they wouldn't had a possibility to film many of the sex scenes (especially with Dany).

  • @LectorEmpedernido13 Is he rly supposed to be 14?

  • @LectorEmpedernido13 All Characaters are older than in the book. Not the baddest change, i think. It's more... realistic.

  • 3 people know nothing

  • On of my favorite character in the books

  • @GW5fan was mine too until adwd he acted foolishley there is too much of starks in him he should keep grenn pyp and rest of his friends close to him and use them as loyal bodyguards but he sent them away

  • @LCHC1 but in the end ygritte didnt tell him you know nothing as a joke :)

  • he's so handsome&his accent is just making him sexier :DD...

  • awsome

  • He is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A great actor for sure! Kit, congratulations for your role!

  • Comment removed

  • Oh he is so Rhaegars son, it's got to be.

  • Kit has an depressing face.

  • Killing of his father was really dumb now there are no good actors in the show.

  • Kit Harington is a pretty cool guy... But I had imagined Jon to be much younger.

  • Joffry is totally evil.

    'nuff said.

  • I always imagined him with dark skin. anyone else?

  • @Screenofsmoke28 The books always told that he (and Arya) looked totally Starks. And Starks dont have dark skin. Those would be the Martells. (inside the 7 Kingdoms, that is)

  • I don't know why but I figured him a blonde man...O__o

  • @NanyRm

maybe because the Starks are nordic, Jon Snow is said to look just like his father (a Stark). And we assume that the nordics of Westeros should look like the nordics from Earth (the ones from Sweden, Norway, Denmark...)

  • If you look at this interview and the one with Jaime,

you can easily tell which actor read the books and which one didn't.

  • @agamandia Yeah. Nikolaj, like Emilia Clarke, is just reading the books as they coincide with the scripts (he's at least read the first one). Kit meant to do that, I think, but then he got really into the books and kinda ended up practically inhaling them haha.

  • i am jon snow's mother.i love u my son :)

  • I love Jon, he's by far my favorite character from the series, both from the movies and the books, and I think that Kit Harrignton is quite a good actor, kind of cute, and I think he matches Jon in the general aspect. However, the one of the things I do not like about the way Kit is playing Jon, it's his voice. I think it's too...gruff for Jon Yes, I know that he has to do the northen accent, but I would so much preffer if Kit just played Jon with his natural voice. But that's just me.

  • <3 LOVE JON! HE'S SO AMAZING!

  • Hahaha! There's actually a guy named Jon Snow. An old journalist.

  • They made them so much older in the TV series, definitely my favourite character though

  • "YOU KNOW NOTHING JON SNOW!"

fav character by far...even with ned an robb around hes still the most inspirational character in it!...the fact him an tyrion have the upmost respect for each other makes it all the better:)

  • WTF, Jon is supposed to be like 13...xD

  • @TheodorEriksson Actually, he's 16 at the start of the series, but I admit, they're all older than they should be... But that's the way, they all can't be kids since where would they get qualified actors then? :D

  • @Cirene In the TV show he's...well I can accept that he's 16...but I am positive that in the books he's about 13. Maybe 14, but I think Robb is 14 and is one year older than Jon, Robb might be 15 though... :)

And there are plenty of good child actors, though most of them hasn't got very much experience.

  • @TheodorEriksson In the books it was stated that they were both ~sixteen, born in the same year. I'd argue a bit deeper, but it'd mean spoilers xD But I agree, there are good child actors around, but enough to fit the characters as well as the ones they chose? I think they did an overall good job, even if some look older than they should... or I imagined, whichever :)

  • @Cirene: basically, you are right. however, take into consideration that some of them, such as daenerys are involved in sex scenes...you wouldn't be allowed to shoot such scenes with minors.

  • @TheodorEriksson: well, daenerys is only 13 or 14 years old, but you can't shoot a love scene with a minor, unless you want to go through a lot of trouble ;)

  • uhh Joffrey was completely evil, so is cersei and twyin

  • "he's a byproduct of Ned's infidelity." Or is he?

  • @corvus13: according to the book, he and arya have similar facial features...

  • @goodyear2602 But that doesn't mean he's Ned's child. There are other possibilities.

  • @corvus13 you refer to benjen or his sister?

  • @goodyear2602 His sister.

  • @goodyear2602

lol .. and hasn't arya be commented to resemble Lyanna Stark ...

    Thus .. if A=B ... B =C .... A ? C

Lol .. mathematics tossing it's hat into the Fan theories !!! :P

  • @corvus13

oh shit... I just started the 4th book and "I know nothing" about that. I should damn avoid these Game of Thrones videos, there is always someone dropping spoilers around!

  • @rogerpenna It's not a spoiler. It's only speculation.

  • @corvus13 ah ok. Please explain your speculation then. You dont think he is Ned´s bastard? But what about him LOOKING JUST LIKE HIS FATHER?

Unless... unless you think he is the son of his brother´s Brandon!! Well, in this case, he would be a bastard anyway, since Brandon was engaged to Catty before Ned.

  • @rogerpenna I think he's the son of Lyanna Stark (Ned's sister) and Prince Rhaegar. Lyanna's last words to Ned were "Promise me."

  • @corvus13

holy shit... thats true! That would make him heir to the throne and Daenerys would be his untie, right?

  • @rogerpenna Probably not, since he's a bastard, but the Targaryens are notable for their incest, so marrying his aunt would unite the two lines, if it's true.

  • @corvus13 but dont forget that it was predicted Daenerys would not have any more child, with exception of her dragons. John Snow therefore may continue the Targaryen line, IF he does not marry Daenerys. (if he does, the line ends there, for Daenerys cannot have children with him)

  • @rogerpenna But it was also predicted that her son was going to be the Stallion that Strides the World, so that prediction didn't hold up, either.

  • @corvus13 R+L=J! R+L=J! R+L=J!

  • guys don't forget if someone posts spoilers in the comments, we can vote that comment DOWN (click the thumbs down icon on the comment)

  • @Jackalofdeath What the hell is that? You trying to show off?

  • Comment removed

  • @Jackalofdeath ASSHOLE!!! Delete the comment or at least put a spoiler alert in the beginning of the comment. You...... Arrrhhh........

  • @Jackalofdeath he doesnt die -_- stop trying to annoy people

  • @Jackalofdeath It wasn't confirmed he was.... And please put up spoiler alert for all those who have not read the books.....

  • "no one is totally evil, no one is totally good" is BULLSHIT!

  • I've figured it out ..... Jon isn't Neds son, he's lyanna's son , by Rhaegar !!!

  • @thedisneypriestesss join the crowd

  • jon snow..me av from the series;D

  • I love him !!

  • i just adore the part when he founds ghost,, :)

  • You don't know sh**, Jon Snow.

    -Ygitte

  • i think i just met him in london

  • He has one constant expression that never changes from interview to so-called "acting". Horrible.

  • @Ilissill Well Jon Snow is actually supposed to be preetey serious, so the whole serious face works in my opinion.

  • Son of Rhaegar and Lyanna... Azor Ahai reborn. It is know. Tee hee. :P

  • "When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone.”

When Jon dies, it mentions "Smoke" coming from his body, Bowen March has tears when he stabs Jon (salt), Paetrek is being beaten bloody by the Giant (Paetrek banner is a Star and being bloody could mean "red star bleeds")

  • jon snow dies in book 5, and is ressurected by the red bitch.

  • @belzardable I doubt that, he's a Ghost now...

  • kinda hard to be king when you've been stabbed 5 times. Totally meant to spoil that =o

  • You know nothing Jon Snow.
