As the daughter and wife of a garda I'd like to say cop on banjoman, An Garda Síochána IS the police force of the country! The name means Guardians of the Peace you're right, but they uphold the law of the country and therefore are the police force. What a ridiculous statement "we don't have a police force in ireland"!! Talk about trivialising them!! Is amadán thú, faigh ciall.
Great Video tasha, and nice to see that there are still plenty of decent people still out there!!! Its a fitting tribute to both police forces and brought me out in goosebumps!!!!!!! :-)
I am Irish born and now living in the Los Angeles. People in Ireland should thank their lucky stars they have the Garda and not an American style police force.
Thank you for the tribute. It's nice to see something positive about An Garda Siochana and the PSNI. Thanks for putting the time into remembering the people who gave their lives to protect our country. God bless.
Brilliant tribute. It makes me feel very sad for all those who died in the line of duty and their families and those police officers who serve and protect their communities throughout the world 24/7. Where the hell would we be without such people.
@stealth1692 If you didnt find out its short for An Garda Siochana which is Irish for The Guardians of Peace! Its nice we have an irish name like Garda rather than just police!
Hey, it's nice to see some people actually do have respect for the Gards. And I hope someday that DubRepublcianMedia is in need of help and the Gards come and and help him out. Or even, I'd love to see him do a week's work as a Garda and see how difficult it can be. He knows f***-all what he's talking about, especially that he has the nerve to say this on a tribute to the pour souls who gave their lives to protect us, the people of Ireland. Fantastic video!
I was rejected for Cadet Leadership Intructer Rifle Coach in Connaught, but I was finally accepted 2 days ago for Rifle Coach in Vernon, when you're in CL hope for Charlie Company 11 platoon, it was the one I was in. I'll most likely end up in Alpha Company, still unsure about the platoon though.
The RIC, Gardaí and the RUC/PSNI have allways been the first line of defence in support of welth, privilage, imperialism and state sponcered terror in Ireland. Many individuals in these forces may well believe that they're main function is to procet their communitys, and i respect that. Unfortunatly, they are fundemently wrong.
I appreciate that you made your comment sound more intelligent than "F**k the Police." But this video is not here to talk about who's fundamentally correct and who's not, to me people who actually do whats right for their community whether they're poor or rich are the good people. If you have respect for them then you wouldn't place propaganda on a TRIBUTE video here for them, as it clearly states at the beginning it is here to remember and honour those lost, not to bash their fundamentals.
I doubt very seriously any man or woman puts on a uniform intending to oppress any one. Having served in the US Army I can speak only for me. And I will say this: We stand to serve all in our nation, rich or poor, so long as they don't cross the line of denying others their rights. Your comment mentions wealth and privilege only. You fail to see when these men and women go out and stop the greedy from stealing from you. God bless these brave men and women.
With all the hippies and scumbags posting their own horseshit and grievances on this site its a breath of fresh air to see a tribute to the Police - Well done, great tune great vid
Well done for doing this tribute. I was a policeman in Birmingham, England for 30 years. My ancestors were Irish policemen. Cops are a special breed and are the modern day heroes.
Just because they have a Ferrari or other some other fast car in use as a police vehicle doesn't mean much. Its not like excessive speed is all that important to police work.
oh i know, speed is a must if your in a high speed chase. With the handling of a Lamborghini . My point way that thats the best police vehicle i ever seen.
