This video is just SAD! She seems to be pregnant, if I am not mistaken. Pregnant cats tent to react to high pitch sounds, she assumes its their kittens calling her. And you are there, unknowingly, enjoying her desperation.
naw, the cat could just walk away. It is choosing to be unhappy. The singing is really good too! I think you should have pulled the cat into the tub though.

I think I was projecting. My flatmates are allergic to fur and I'm actually the one who is sad, because I do not have a cat of my own.
