  • To all the people who have written on this song , this is my friend Darryl aka Royal Cash and his family are so appreciative in your effort to keep his music still going . I met Darryl many years ago on a Sunday in NYC walkig down the street with is guitar and a split second as he walked by I ran back about six blocks and introduced myself and the rest is history .

Long Live the memory of Darryl " Royal Cash " Cash !!1! Rest in peace !!!!

  • @tubagee For sure man, i try and spread all the electro rap and funk out there, its great stuff, and a shame we didnt get a chance to hear more releases from Mr. Cash, but Ill do my best to spread this to music lovers, Love the bass line on this song.

  • Well, Well, Well, What do we have here? New Year's Eve Dance ('83-'84?) at San Diego City College. Don't even try it! And this you now know!

  • I was no fan of the high tech synthetic "music" of that time, but I loved this song. The skits with all of the characters ("I have an electronic stereo...") were clever and funny.

  • Ah man. 16 years old, cruisin on Friday night with this pourin out the window. I loved that mysterious look the girls had in their eyes. Take me on back.

  • I especially LOVE how they implemented electric guitar licks in the 80"s as Zapp did on Dance FlooR!!!!

I'm a white dude that grew up in the middle of this awesome stuff!

  • Wow das ist das Lied aus meiner Jugend ;-)

  • Hip Hop Power!

  • Just download AoA Audio extractor for free and extract the audio from this video, by downloading it with the free version on Realplayer and you got your self the song in any format you choose to save it as with the extractor, just google both the AoA Audio Extractor and the Realplayer. Hope this helps, or just look for the utorrent file of this item, good luck.

  • very good one !! so proud to be born in 84' !!!!

  • @dodadance84 - I was a freshman in high school. To be that age during that era of hip hop couldn't have been more perfect. Back when, as far as hip hop was concerned, the sky was the limit.

  • You had to have a sweet Uprock game when this song came on.

  • its a bit sarcastic if you think about Japan

  • @pringboy Is it PacJam?

  • hey guys i need help finding an old song. i used to dj for over 14 years and i had in my collection of vinyl a song that i cannot find anywhere. problem is that i cant remember the name of the song or of the artist. what i do remember is that it started with the music of the pac-man video game. the beat was a little slower than this song. when the beat dropped you could hear a video game sound effect in the background. if you know the song please send me a message.thanks.

  • @YTqualitycontrol Was it Pack Jam by Jonzun Crew

  • @boley311 thanks...but thats not the song im looking for. i believe it was released in the late 80s. it has somewhat of a "radioactivity" feel to it. starts off with the pac man theme and then the beat drops. i gotta find this song to add it back to my collection.

  • @YTqualitycontrol

    arcade funk - tilt

  • OGDEN CITY BREAKERS TORE IT UP TO THIS SONG

  • In the day, this was one of my favorite tunes. I believe I still have the disc somewhere in my collection. It came to mind this week over the tragedy in Japan. That is one thing they don't need more of, that is...... "radio activity".

    Word!

  • 5 people dont know what quad skates are

  • LET'S JAM..

  • I was 3yrs old when this song came out. I used to be so scared of it,LOL. I was scared of this and the extended mix of Freak -a-zoid by Midnight Star. I jam to both of them now,LOL

  • You know sad thing is that this song was there only one hit that they had they relased a song called Space traveler that enver made it big like this "Classic Old School Skate Jam" And im sry to say that The rap version is Ehh ok but this jam is better and also I dont think anyone has noticed but look who the Co-producer is Reggie Calloway does that name sound familuar is should becasue thats One of the members of Midnight Star

  • @sony197 it's also the same calloway brothers that did the "i want money/i wanna be rich" song from '89

  • SaNN FRANNN CISCO.... OPENS THE SHOW!!!! We lost our mth Effin minds with that.... 415 baby.

  • Got tons of original old school joints from the early 80's for sale, hit me if interested.

  • This song was one of the best roller skate songs ever!!! But only for the rollers back in "East St. Louis - Skate King"

  • i was a freshman in high school in 1983 and the dj played this ''record'' after all our home football games.just like RONZHOUSE said up top in his comment, you had to be in shape back then because you were looking at 7-12 minute songs .man all we wanted to do was have break dancing contest, slow drag with your girl, or chase the girls. we were'nt into any fucking thug shit like shooting people, killing, gang banging, disrespecting adults ect. we were all about having fun and laughing at crazy stuff

  • @str8outtatexas1 thanks for sharing the memory, i was really curious how it was to be growin up in the 80's and havin this funky vibe around :D

  • @str8outtatexas1 Ain't that the truth. My brother, a cousin and I started a party crew in the mid 80's and had a blast. Then came the gangsters and ruined it all. No one felt safe to go to house parties after that.

  • @str8outtatexas1 man im a freshman and all that old shit sounds funner then what we do today

  • @str8outtatexas1 Man what you done said!!! Was all about having a good time back then! Even the HARD ROCKS got on the dance floor back then and i dont think these young cats today know anything about asking a female to slow dance!!....I'm in my 40's now and i try not to go anywhere where there's a lot of youngstas congregated!!! DFW,Tx area right here bruh!!

  • @t9190kp I totally agree with you brah. It's a shame how technology has taken over for the worse. It's good to use for certain things, but it has caused the youth today to become lazy, not motivated, not able to write Proper English, obesity, loss of manners towards adults and law enforcement ect. "SLOW DRAG'' OR ''SLOW DANCE'' today is like getting teeth pulled or french kissing your grandma. These thugs rather gang bang & keep it real. what a FUCKING WASTE of human matter.keep it real brah.

  • @t9190kp I totally hear that! It really has become a cryin' shame! I was a middle-high school teacher for 12 yrs., and I LOVED IT, until three yrs. ago when the patents throw down (fought) in the street on the last day of school. I knew then that I was OUT!!! Yeah, those good ol' days are done and dusted, folks! Cheers! - J

  • @str8outtatexas1 I WAS BORN IN 83 + I WAS ADMIRED HOW THE 60'S & 70'S BABIES KNEW WHAT FUN WAS !!!

  • @henryhansun preach!

  • YESSS!!!

  • hell yeah this song was the jam. All I can think about was the skating rink and being out on the floor. I was young back then but I was still trying 2 hang with the big kids.

  • @usacyrano What theroch183 is saying is that they used it first which means they sampled the song first so umm... . . . yeah. Both are good songs :)

  • Lighter Shade Of brown - Latin Active

They used it firstt Peoplee Dont forgett thatt!!
