To all the people who have written on this song , this is my friend Darryl aka Royal Cash and his family are so appreciative in your effort to keep his music still going . I met Darryl many years ago on a Sunday in NYC walkig down the street with is guitar and a split second as he walked by I ran back about six blocks and introduced myself and the rest is history .

@tubagee For sure man, i try and spread all the electro rap and funk out there, its great stuff, and a shame we didnt get a chance to hear more releases from Mr. Cash, but Ill do my best to spread this to music lovers, Love the bass line on this song.
I was no fan of the high tech synthetic "music" of that time, but I loved this song. The skits with all of the characters ("I have an electronic stereo...") were clever and funny.
Ah man. 16 years old, cruisin on Friday night with this pourin out the window. I loved that mysterious look the girls had in their eyes. Take me on back.
WOW! This song brings back memories of a trip to New Orleans years ago for one of the Saints' games. Everyone was jamming this song! It was a fun era in time!

i had already graduated high school in '82 when i heard this song at a house party. yea remember the house parties. they were the s h i t. sure nuff. n yea it was all 'bout having fun, dancing, tripping n doing crazy things that would make our friends laugh. today it's a whole new program/ but i am still down with my time. 48....2011
@10290gilmore I totally agree with you man I remember this track on KSOL fools used to bump this down the street on Fillmore Street back in the day when I was 10 or 11 years and we used to break dance of this at house party's at my Grandmother's house with my cousins who we all around the same age range it's sad that the quality of music they play on the radio is not even close comparing to the music they had then vs. today 's music in recent years.

hey guys i need help finding an old song. i used to dj for over 14 years and i had in my collection of vinyl a song that i cannot find anywhere. problem is that i cant remember the name of the song or of the artist. what i do remember is that it started with the music of the pac-man video game. the beat was a little slower than this song. when the beat dropped you could hear a video game sound effect in the background. if you know the song please send me a message.thanks.
@boley311 thanks...but thats not the song im looking for. i believe it was released in the late 80s. it has somewhat of a "radioactivity" feel to it. starts off with the pac man theme and then the beat drops. i gotta find this song to add it back to my collection.
Los Angeles High Schools add more to this list: Banning, William Taft, Gardena, Uni, Crenshaw, Fairfax, Granada Hills, Garfield, Birmingham, Dorsey, Canoga Park, Manual Arts, JFK, Franklin, East Valley, Carson ...

I was 3yrs old when this song came out. I used to be so scared of it,LOL. I was scared of this and the extended mix of Freak -a-zoid by Midnight Star. I jam to both of them now,LOL

Me and my girls would tear the skating floor up at Skate King in St. Louis, MO back in the day when this song came on and of course we were the cute girls at school!
i was a freshman in high school in 1983 and the dj played this ''record'' after all our home football games.just like RONZHOUSE said up top in his comment, you had to be in shape back then because you were looking at 7-12 minute songs .man all we wanted to do was have break dancing contest, slow drag with your girl, or chase the girls. we were'nt into any fucking thug shit like shooting people, killing, gang banging, disrespecting adults ect. we were all about having fun and laughing at crazy stuff

@t9190kp I totally agree with you brah. It's a shame how technology has taken over for the worse. It's good to use for certain things, but it has caused the youth today to become lazy, not motivated, not able to write Proper English, obesity, loss of manners towards adults and law enforcement ect. "SLOW DRAG'' OR ''SLOW DANCE'' today is like getting teeth pulled or french kissing your grandma. These thugs rather gang bang & keep it real. what a FUCKING WASTE of human matter.keep it real brah.
@t9190kp I totally hear that! It really has become a cryin' shame! I was a middle-high school teacher for 12 yrs., and I LOVED IT, until three yrs. ago when the patents throw down (fought) in the street on the last day of school. I knew then that I was OUT!!! Yeah, those good ol' days are done and dusted, folks! Cheers! - J
I remember this song at the reggins in tj bc. pop break dancing, people used to go there front san diego LA, etc and the club was a three storie building the mikes in the botton punk rock, and the other two this tipe of shiet it was crazy! girls every where, nice clothes, nice music, atomic dog,jam on it,etc ,them! those were really good times , sorry new kid in the block, you missed the good times. I'm 42 and I can still make some break moves /-/-\-/-\
You can tell that this was at the time where you still had groups that could really sing and respected groups like the Temps 4 Tops and so forth. Unlike now where these youngins dont respect the past at all.
hell yeah this song was the jam. All I can think about was the skating rink and being out on the floor. I was young back then but I was still trying 2 hang with the big kids.
Roller skating....you would be sweating buckets safter coming off the rink after skating for 15 min to this song! Damn we used to move back in tha day!
@snowdjagha Are you honestly saying you did not know that they stole it from this? Listen to Snoop, True to the Game featuring Foesum for a much clearer use of this excellent beat.
@snowdjagha The sample is credited to Royal Cash Activity. No offense, I was just surprised you never noticed, good choice of taste so how can I hate?
Am I reading this right? If I'm wrong, my bad but Latin Active was not first. Latin Active was a smooth remake of the original. I was jammin' to RadioActivity in the 80's. Thanks for the post! Have been looking for this forever! Peace

The 12 inch long extended version of a song could last for half of the party and we jammed it all night......man I miss those days

@snowdjagha Are you honestly saying you did not know that they stole it from this? Listen to Snoop, True to the Game featuring Foesum for a much clearer use of this excellent beat.
mrbananalee 1 year ago
@mrbananalee no!! i really didnt know!! but take it easy man... royal clash might have been credited!! =/ you dont know that...

Peace

@usacyrano What theroch183 is saying is that they used it first which means they sampled the song first so umm... . . . yeah. Both are good songs :)
