  • Why did you upload someone esle's video? lol

  • Future refrence on instructional videos would rather hear the person talking about the what their doing not some song... if you add music... put it in the back ground lightly.... You're lucky theres a mute button.

  • rockstar by chad cruger

  • nice song wat is the name

  • @TheGiannispanatha13 nickelback-rockstar

  • whats the song name

  • Off topic here, but does anyone know if a 8800 GTX waterblock will fit on a 9800 GTX?

  • no !

  • yeah i figured after seeing some pics although the 7800 GTX looks the same as the 9800 GTX but i think ill wait till i upgrade to buy waterblocks

  • only if i had money to wipe my ass with and connections out the wazzoo! rofl

  • lmao seriously

  • what a random song lol

  • YA LMAO

  • yea, thats why they have those white pads there so it transfers heat to the heatsink like that....

  • u didnt put thermal grease on the other chips.. they need it

  • on the memory chips?

    what?

    no. wtf

    you be trippin

  • na man im serious

  • If i do this will the card take up one less pci slot

  • Yes but only if change the back plate

  • please whta the temperature??? thx

  • Hey if you cut a bit out of the plastic shell for the tubes could u put the plastic casing back on with the water block under?

  • what is a waterblock?

  • A water block is the watercooling equivalent of a heatsink.

  • MARKO4166, really that's impressive. O, well I guess it's actually not because that card cost at least 100$ more than this one. So, congrats for being an ignorant douche bag =) Have any questions, comments? Pm me.

  • wow. I have the 9800GTX+ and I can believe how small the card is once you take the cooler off.

  • what did you end up gaining in performance? Also how much higher did you overclock your video card from the SSC Spec? I currently own EVGA 8800GT SuperClocked Editions and there running at 725/1800/2000 and they are rock solid no crashes. I found that if you buy stock Overclocked Edition of any video card- those are usually the higher quality GPU's that come from the factory and will almost always overclock higher, thats why your paying the extra money- for a higher grade GPU.

  • how do you hook a card up to a power supply

  • Wow....

  • I can't find the fecking wire....

  • Because it either is a lame brand or your lost, if it was any quality at all it would have with a 4pin to 4-pin Molex connector or your PSU should have a 4 pin connector ready to connect into the card, plugins sould be near the sinde closest to the face "Facing inside your computer" left hand side at 1:18

  • how much would a new psu cost

  • WEll, around 130 depending on what card you have?

  • i just bought a 9800 GTX i have been trying to install it but its not running without the cable, im using integrated at the moment

  • of course ts not running without power ;), it uses 4 pin right? look on the card

  • yeah im pretty sure it does but have 4 pin but it came with a 4-8 pin converter

  • Ok, plug that into the graphics card

Then plug your PSU into it :)

  • The 9800gtx uses 2 6pin connectors.... I know cuz i have one this exact card the EVGA 9800GTX its goood:) Want to buy another to get 3 screens working together, running 2 at the moment

  • I have 3 XFX GTX 285 and they have 2 6pin connectors to but they are 100 times better then 3 evga 9800 gtx !!!!!!!!!

  • Who gives a shit?

  • no shit jerk off!

  • well no fucking shit dumbass

  • Mine has one 6 pin connector.

  • why...

  • what 9800 gtx + has the best air cooler on it? in the future, i will install water cooling and are there gtx 285's or something that have the water blocks pre-installed?

  • nickelback nooo!!!

  • what if i put it in my computer and.. my powersupply is to weak. Will it start burning or break or something?

  • It will just not post dont't worry

  • nope your computer just wont turn on if it is that much of a "beast" :D

  • Nice accent.

  • Nice Work.

  • my 3870's screws that hold the cooler were so small that the only way to open them was to use razer blade, and that's why i almost cut my fingers off lol

  • were do u guys get ur money? plz tell me

  • Hustling.

  • the 9800gtx is a cheap card

  • but good:P

  • bullshit.

  • Geeks usually don't live off minimum wage. We work for our toys

  • i figured he had a sponsor

  • by smuggling drugs inside motherboard cpu socket area.

  • thats what i was thinking

  • damn good video trub! i have a question do u need to cover the whole gpu chip with thermal paste or can i just use a drop without spreading

  • if you have 2 9800 gtx ssc editions do you need to have water cooling? or when do you need to have water cooling? please respond

  • you dont need water cooling for the video card its just a bonus! they run fine on air

  • what kinda temps does the gtx run on water?

Have you seen this "wickedx" volt mod selling on ebay for nvidia cards?

I read about them in the sli forums but no real reviews.

  • DAAAAAAAm the card is fat with that OMG

  • Hey Trubritar, been watchin ur vids for a while now but just wondering what do u do with ur old gaming equipment??? Dont wanna sound vegging or anythin but i just wish i cld afford all of this amazing GFX!! Gotta put up with an 8600GT at the moment. Anyway thanks for everything!!

  • Hi there, feel free to drop by the new forrm and check what i do with the stuff i test...

    Trub

  • Ok thanks Trubritar off there now. Cheers for everything.

  • Please feel free to check out the part at 3:25.

Thanks for the comment but please try watching the video before posting immature comments like this. Thanks

  • I did watch the video, and you left out so much stuff. I mean it's a good thing that you trying to help people and I'm not busting on you for that, but just make sure you have everything in the next video.

  • I don't exactly think he missed alot... I found this video very helpful.

  • GUILDWARSISGOOD2000 > Dumb ass

  • Great video, shame the music was so shitty :(

  • hey t few newb questions 1> what temps where you getting with the block. load/idle 2> I have inflow hose on top nozzle and out on bottom is that okay? 3> how tightly should I screw block in? 4> did you find the wieght of the block affecting or bending card?

  • hey wats the name of the song ?

  • rockstar by nickeleback

  • Trubritar really nice videos, I cant wait for your 280gtx waterblock installation and overclocking! IM YOUR N.1 Subscriber ;)!

  • cooling block is discountinued due to the lack of customers buying it trubritar do you still have those 3 whilling to sell me them :)

  • Yes i still have them...Let me know if you are interested in them

    :)

  • i shot you a message about it.

  • man, could you send me a GTX 280! Lol. What do You do for a living! please tell me. I am 13 and i just got into computers and i love it. I wish i could foul around with that expensive stuff.

  • trub... my koolance block came with a group of heat pads? did yours??? some are white and some are black any advice on which to install and where????? anyone?

  • I found the darker color pads work best...

    Trubritar

  • Thanks ... I was thinking of using both.. sadly i order the wrong nozzles. but I am using my old koolance 7900gtx block and it keeps it cool as the stock fan on load 60C on AOC 55 on COD 4 no sure if this block will make things lol...

  • U need a 475 watt power suply for the 9800 gtx witch is this card right there ^^

  • Hey what power supply do u use to power those cards?

  • what did you use to clean off your old thermal compound? What I did with my CPU/heatsink is took some vodka and cleaned it off with some force. It worked but probably much better ways to do it.

  • he used alcohol wipes..

  • alcohol eats the thermal grease easy

  • Great work dude!! On the next few days I'm gonna *liquidize* my 8800gts 512 with EK-full cover and apply a wb to the SPP of my 780i!!

  • where do i get watercoolers for it

  • I killed a 9800 trying to put a waterblock on...rma'd it...and got a new one!:)....

  • What type of thermal paste do you use on your cards?

  • In this vid and the GX2 install I used the OCZ Freeze Thermal compound....

  • sorry for this noob question, but does the thermal paste come with the waterblock and can u tell me what waterblock you used thanks

  • i use Arctiv Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Siler Thermal Compound does a good job.

  • Arctic*

  • i gotta look into that OCZ Freeze thermal compound. i didnt know OCZ make that kind stuff :)

  • Without the water block , your chassis can become a griller and you can cook 3 beef paddy on top of 3 of that.

  • All GPU's are tested at the manufacturing plants, typically the top 10% higher clockable GPU's that pass the tests are incorporated in the top clock cards. It's like CPU's, there are Diamonds and coal. The diamonds OC to bizarre new hights and the coals just meet the mark.

    Trubritar

  • Sweet looking waterblock but i would be lying if i didnt say pullling my gtx apart doesnt make me nervous, at least then i can add it to my loop

  • I dont get why people pay an extra $100 for an OC when you can do it free with Riva Tuner...

  • i think you over power MAXISHINE Money wise, hopefully i'll be as rich as you some day. HOPEFULLY!??

  • when will this block be realesed in europe?

  • wait wait what type of water block did u use on this one?

  • He used the Koolance VID-398

  • hey man. Im getting the vantec sting ray water cooling kit. and the vga water block is pretty small. do u need to have that big of a one? and the kit includes one but it is small compared to that one. And does the evga 9800 gtx have to have the ram sinks removed?

  • cool video man nice one. i like the song aswell. five stars.

  • Nice man, good job!!! :)

And personally i think the editing was fine!

    Also good choice of music:):D

  • cheers for teaching me how to remove the fan/heatsink anyone have any idea where i can buy that watercooling set in the uk? or one that supports sli like the koolance one?

  • who cares bout editing when u have that system xD

  • what have you done to your Ultras trubritar?

what sound speakrs do you have, soundcard?

    cheers

  • wow dude, i like just subscibed to u 2day and i am checkin out ure vids, all i can say is BADASS lol, this summer i am buildin a comp and i will hopefully have a 790i ultra/newGT280 or 2 if possible/randomRAM/and that cooling u have, that cooling setup u have in the crysis cruncher is so awesome

  • LOL..relax...lot's more to come...

  • im relaxed, im just telling that the editing is really bad. kitch transitions - looks like trying all of em, clean cut or simple cross-fade would be visualy more usefull . whats the point of that bouncy blury text effect? its pointless and distracting. the music doesnt corespond with the vid. and it should be cutted way more better, for example taking off the screws_why on the earth isnt that cutted off to the point when theyre all off ?

  • Youre Right...The video was made in haste...I do understand that you cannot please everyone all the time and everyone's a critic in their own right...I was just trying something different in this video...I just appreciate you taking the time to give me feedback.

    Thanks

  • Starting to look like maxishine Vids lol, ehm ehm ehm, very unique Trubritar lol.

  • music sucked. just talk. Don't need no filler.

  • sweet

  • 1 down 3 to go.

  • 2 sorry lol; I assume 3 way SLi means you have 3 of those cards?

  • pretty nice, lets overclock this mofo and stress it to its limits!

  • what do you do for a living?

  • Hes a janitor.

  • lol how u know xD

  • Benchmarks!!!!!! lol.. good video man.. keep the good work!

  • FUCKING AWESOME

  • Benchmark !!! :D

    good vid ;)

  • another class video, lol warrantry who cares if you damage the card i managed to get my 2900xt refunded after uv liquid spilt onto the top of it all i did was clean the card, put original heatsink back on and they were convinced that i hadnt ever touched the card lol.

  • I Have a question Trubritar

    Could a Zalman Reserator XT Cool a cpu and 2 9800 gx2's?

    Rizzk-- Nice video!

  • Yes it is possible and depends on the ambient Temp. The advantage with the Reserator XT is that its completely external and you can even place it in front of an AC unit to chill it down a little.

The perfect solution would be 2 seperate cooling loops.

  • Thanks For the fast response.

    Without OC-ing I Think It`ll be ok.

  • Are you serious? You're getting a WATERCOOLED computer with 2 9800 gx2s and you're not overclocking?? :O I'm sorry, but that is such a waste...

  • i don`t think the reserator xt would hold up to the job

  • dude please dude really when will these blocks be out on the site they keep delaying it :(

  • You will be surprized, the Reserator XT is a capable product...Its not as radical as some of the others out there but still does the job well.

The new Crysis Cruncher has the Reserator cooling 3 9800 SSC's in 3 way SLi...Fluid temps very rarely get above 30'c unless there is intense benchmarking or serious gameplay going on

  • evga lets you mod as long as you dont physically damage the card same with overclocking, youre allowed to do that =D

  • i would of went with ek or danger fc waterblocks.. are those aluminum?

  • The Koolance blocks are Nickel plated Copper...

  • good! :) can't wait to see the new crysis cruncher up and running!

  • dude... I just LOVE your dialect! You should definitely talk more in your videos :D Otherwise, great video, as always!

  • Iv got one of them cards :-)

  • you should have spoke it rather than put the words in and pointed with your finger! when i first started watching i thought "cool hes going to talk us through" then the music came on and i was like "ooooh nooooooooo" lol.

Talk through next time, be quicker aswell :)

    P.s awesome card

  • DUDE SWEEEET =) YOU MAKING ME SO JEALOUS =)

and please could you ask your friend if those blocks are coming out soon cause they keep delaying it on the site =(

  • dude... WHY THE HELL DID YOU GET EVGA?!?! the best 9800 gtx is the xfx black edition, u shouldve gone for those!!

  • no the black edition is not better then the SSC , the black edition only has 760 core this has 775 and higher memory clock

  • well, if you change the cooler on a xfx you loose your warranty -.-

  • what they don't know won't hurt them :)

  • XFX also have a modder friendly warranty, you can install a waterblock and keep the warranty, just be sure to retain all the original parts in case you need to RMA it back,

  • oh right

  • you going try water cool your 9800 GX2 with koolance when they do come out. be kinda hard in the comsmos S case bc the psu is at

  • i like get that new koolance psu for my intel OverKill project

  • dude i would think you never say not ONE word on any your youtube videos... gj man gj = good job thats way we say good job in CS:Source. gj

  • lol u sound funny

  • ...says the Kiwi. XD

  • he sounds nothing like a kiwi

  • lol

  • does this free up a pci slot? (regular pci) im considering tri-sli on next build but i really like to have a sound card.

nice vid and yeh it looks awesome lol.

  • nice, but how do u take that extra-pci thingy left?

  • ?

    please explain more?

  • you know wer u got the fan holes and wer u put in the comp's pci slot external 1

  • maybe he change there different metal plate...

  • he meant, now that it's single slot size, can you change it to only take up one PCI slot on the case. I vote, no. Short of dremmeling off the excess.what's the word tru?

  • uh? everything is one big peace. the card is and the heatsink is all one big peace and the koolance waterblock is also. you talking about the thermal grease?

  • oh i think he taking about the back support plate where the DVI goes thow. yea u can take that off and get a single pci slot plate. frozencpu i think sales them and koolance does not sure about newegg

  • u seem to know alot. so ill ask u this.

im buying a Tuniq T-120 heatsink. is it better to use the AS5 or the AS Ceramic?

  • Thanks for posting this! I've been wanting to know how to do this exact procedure, but didn't want to muck up my video card in the process. :)

BTW, what type of thermal grease do you use?

  • On this project i used the OCZ ceramic based paste...

  • Very impresive set up! I hear you cant get a better watersolution for those cards, Very good video, I will use this advise when I water cool my cards.

Keep the vid's comming! Totaly awesome!

    Stanbony

  • that is one sick waterblock! ahh soo jealous of you. haha

Would you happen to know which is a better buy?

    2 9800 GX2s or 3 9800 GTXs?

    thanks

  • i think they did some tests and i think the 3 gtx's got a few more fps

  • 3 9800 gtx faster then 2 9800 GX2

  • great video, im jealous of your money intake! hahah
