i smoked pot for 2 years and got put on probation and quit smoking pot and went to cigarettes and been do them for 12 years now and its very hard for me to quit them even if i try i smoke cigarette butts when i run out of cigs after i haven't had one in a very long time it makes me feel high just on the first puff i get the Nicotine Withdrawal bad and i feel more tired when i don't have any cigs and seem to eat more
I have quit for about two years now. I get the urge about once a week but I can handle it. I quit for two years once and played around with them. Picked the habit right up again. Never look back once you get over the hard part.
@lil27mike27big For me, it was a matter of wanting it badly enough. When I was having a weak moment I would ask myself, "how bad do you want to quit" and if I started looking to buy or bum say "not bad enough do yah". The cravings do pass eventually and then get less powerful and less frequent. Just have to want it bad enough to make it happen.
@foxlake02) i get it its just so hard i got hooked on them after i met my sisters friends and they both were smoking and then they got me smoking i shouldn't have never took that first drag then i wouldn't be doing um now i will quit smoking one day maybe not now but i will one day i guess i will when i just get sick of smoking them i spend about $100.00 a month on cigarettes i tried thos new cigarette things but didn't like them because their not strong enough for me i forget what
Waking up in the morning andl lighting a cigarette is one of the best feelings in the world, for me. I don't care if it takes me with it in the end. We're all mortal. I liked this video, though. Thanks for sharing.
@gaz2206 *~{;-) Thank you for thanking me! Ya, the experience of inhaling that first drag of the day is a powerful one, as nicotine be a very powerful stimulant, and couple that with a cup of coffee and KA-POWIE! Bang Zoom to the Moon!
I will say this: Every so often I express gratitude to Whatever Powers That Be that I have been released from the bondage of active nicotine addiction.
If only I could control and enjoy my smoking... but alas! it is not to be!
@bsrulez101 *~{;-) Thank you for your comment... however, the fact that I continue to desire the experience of nicotine is a constant reminder for me of just how powerful an addiction it is for me.
@marined0gs *~{;-) "Same church, different pew." Nicotine by another means of delivery is just as addictive! Besides... I loved the taste of tobacco! The way it smelled, the way it looked... ...
Well done to you! You must be very strong willed to have given up so many things.
I achieved quitting without cravings or withdrawel - I done this by listening to a ebook by Allen Carr called the eazyway to stop smoking which claims a 90% success rate & I done a ebook hypnosis session in conjunction with this. Your subconscious mind is still is addicted even tho your body is not physically addicited - follow these and you will not even crave! (can be downloaded via torrents)
Ihave had the same experience as you. But i found a great solution, which completely removed my nicotine cravings for good.
I used diet as a tool. When you clean the body and eat boodsugar stabilizing foods combined correctly, the bodys need for nicotine as a hormonal balancer vanishes. I've seen this happen with alot of other people.
The recipe is a gluten free, casein free, stoneage diet with alot of fresh veggies! In some variation or another.
I am trying to quit now on Chantix, its hard! Ive done all sorts of drugs in my youth and nothing remotely compares to how much I love a cigarette. I hope I quit and dont miss it, I hope I dont come back here and say i feel your pain lol, because that would be a motherf**ker!
Can it be that you miss the ritual of preparing the smokes, that you miss the way it seemed to give you a more mellow attittude, etc? I know the even blowing the smike, man it felt powerful, somehow. I now smoke a cigarette every night before bed, and one or two if i am highly stressed out. But it isn't that bad to have a pack last like two weeks ( I have quit all my life only to start up again) i decided heavy-handed moderation will now be my friend where smoking tobacco is concerned
hi, i did all drugs like u inc. heroin, i tried to kit smoking 10 times, how long does it take for the ansiety to leave, does it go away? stays forever?shit didnt know that... im scared now... im very addictive person like u are i can see it, im holding a cappucino right now lol, with ritalin inside lol, but the smokes is the thing i cant quit at all, dont miss heroin or coke or reef aswell... u scared me lady...
oh my god that was great. i hope you never stop "babbling"...loved the way you threw in the litterbox, like an afterthought. but where are your cats? out on the balcony smoking?
I had quit smoking for 2 years and 9 months. But then I picked it back up again when I got together with my boyfriend. It was difficult not to since he smokes 3 packs a day lol. The temptation was too strong. I thought I had it beat, I was doing really well. The times I struggled the most with cravings was when I was stressed. I was notorious for chain smoking when I was anxious or pissed off. It
s a calming relief for me to have a smoke. This time around, it will be much harder for me to quit.
I miss smoking too - I have been stopped over 2 years. I am glad I do not need them anymore but miss how relaxed I was when sitting to have one with my coffee.
ive been quit 3 weeks this time. taking chantix. i miss is too. feels like something is definitely missing in life now. there is a empty hole in my psyche

I read that nicotine and heroin effect the dopaminergic system in almost exactly the same way. The dopamine signaling is almost identical

Try coke. It is 100 times better than nicotine. I found nicotine to be an extremely disappointing "high".
Nicotine is a waste of money and time.
