Ever notice that when these old birds would start up they'd seem to shake themselves awake, like they were alive? Jets don't do that. These prop jobs were a little before your time. How'd you get so interested?

Funny you should ask. :-) I was born in '61, but flew on several United CV-340s, & DC-6s. Dad flew the second to the last DC-6 trip, and I was lucky enough to fly on the very last one at age 9 in 1970.

My favourite era for aircraft is 1945-65, and I've always loved alot of things from before my time; films, TV shows, etc.
