Okay, nevermind (mispoke something in my last comment anyway). I found out now.

You would have to tune the low E so it's not quite an E flat but also not quite a D sharp.

You would have to play around with it and tune the rest of the strings by ear so the guitar would be in tune with itself.

What settings do you have your amp at? I have the tabs correct (I think) and it sounds right but each time I go from the 3rd string 7th fret down to the 2nd and 1st string 5th fret (for the beginning of the solo) it sounds to high and tinny.

You want a fair amount of gain, high output humbuckers, and a thick tone so don't have the presence or treble too high. Try backing off the tone on the guitar a bit too....

I think its a vintage, mate. I have a vitage SG, and the Octaves look the same on this guitar. Gibson Octaves are pearled, and vintage ones are a flat cream color.
