'strangely enough, ive been struck, affected by her smile, and yo her style is worthwhile, and knowing that im deep like a river, i feel i should give her, things that those others cant delived' HOLY SHIT fucking great
Wassup people, I'm a producer-rapper here on youtube making that good old school style hip hop. My beats are highly influenced by dj premier, my beats are all made using samples, some of them obscure and some are obvious, but either way their still all good. My songs are about love, social consciousness and hip hop. If you guys have time, come to my channel and check me out please. Thanks
this was (and still is) my shit from back in da day! this jam told the truth about relationships! anybody know what song was this sampled from? i know ed o.g. used it in on "gotta have money".
I can never listen to today's rap music. I go on youtube look for my old skool rap like Gang Starr and Wu-Tang. But Gang Starr PURE CLASSIC. Didn't see this video from them. but still remember them from 94 was kinda like 10 or 9yrs old when they first come out. TODAY'S rapper don't know what real RAP/HIP HOP is all bout. All they can make is noise and more noise. Don't know bout their lyrics but GANG STARR is the best
GURU was clever at making words "sound like each other without rhyming-"I guess I didn't realize I'd hurt her, she said I had the nerve to". Classic way to fit the story together. This is why this Dude's stories were limitless!! RIP to one of the greatest legends we'll ever hear!
The one thing that I love about Gang Starr tracks like this, "ex to the next", "love sick" & "She knows what she wants" is that he clearly makes his point about have relationship problems with women but he's not disrespectful. Something that both men and women should make note of when airing their relationship grievances, especially on Facebook LOL
Damn man this suppose to make me fell good , but im holding back tears ..thank you most high for sending this cat through i got to witness one of the most prolific artist of the rap game he had his own style and flow ...never duplicated but underestimable by none im blasting this shit tright now ..true legend RIP Guru!
Rap music back then was not just about one thing...MC'S wasn't afraid to say what they thought when pen hit the pad. The music ment something then and now it's all fake and watered down. Everyone was repected as a individual and there wasn't fake gangbangin. I'm talking too all my pple in the 5 Boro's of NYC. If you want the crown back...do your research and get back to basics and ask yourself what made you fall in love with rap?
with this said, all praise GURU and Premo. RIP Keith Elam for a live well lived and the message delivered to those chosen enough to even know about it. There is two types of music. Music that is made with passion, love, and enthusiasm that stems from the heart and the soul, and there is music made by the modern trash that is only influenced based on how many numbers that check contains which will be written behind closed doors by Anglo-Saxon Industrialists as a way to enslave them even further.
but the biggest problem of all is, the soul-less fan base soaks this agenda up like a sponge, 1st stemming from your household, then to your surroundings, and before you know it, you've literally dumbed down a whole generation with music. Most of u will say that music is just entertainment, true but till a certain extent. Now you can realize why rap and all forms of music are so important to them, they use is as a tool to make the populous more manageable for manipulation and crowd control
but an even bigger problem is that no1 will ever accept that fact that we as human beings who did NOT even originate from this planet are the worst thing to happen to this beautiful planet, we all think that we're some1 important always failing to realize that no matter how good you are, there is always more to be learned, taught, realized etc... Now you throw hundreds of idiotic/sold-out/soul-less piece of shit together in one industry and the result is an emulsion called cRAP, pretty pathetic.
on the sold out issue, listen to Conspiracy, Daily Operation 1992 track #12, just goes to show what kind of interests the Zionist Jews have in the music industry, imagine if they infiltrated the rap scene 20 years ago, you can damn sure bet that rock has been ran by them way before rap, its all business at the end of the day as they would say. The problem is that a human being is the most corrupt creature on this planet, so anything man made is bound to be subject to some1's personal interest
This is one of my favourite songs/music videos.. Everything is perfect! This is the kind of beat/song that immediatly gives you no worries in your mind.
Another observation I made is that in the 80's and 90's hip-hop, the girl that was featured in the videos were a darker shade than COOKING FLOUR. They recognized a pretty chick was a pretty chick.....regardless of skin tone!
That's a good old track. Today's rap music is terrible. Back in the 80-90's was great rap lyrics with soul, jazz, or funk beats. They talk about love, breakups, dancing, hanging out, political, the real streets, and pretty girls with clothes on I want to see now and then. Now hell all today's rappers talk about is what they got, how hard they are blah, blah, blah. You can't understand what they say. Until they get it together I am down with the old tracks.
@21sttnmemphis the modern hip-pop will never get it together, its not the artist's choice of what makes it on the screen, its all up to the labels, a white man that runs the label only cares about profit at the end of the day and basks in his checks, never really caring to much for the true talent which takes shots at the sold out industry and its foundation, they implemented trash in hip-hop in the late 80's and early 90's, today it's in full effect, RIP Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal
@21sttnmemphis Hell yeah this new age rap is garbage. i wish i could go back and relive the golden age of rap. My best years was 91-98. back then rappers made music cuss they wanted to bless the people, now its for just the money
@21sttnmemphis nicely said dude, but this is not just rap, all genres are suffering form this, back in the days, music was about doing good music, not making MUCH MUCH money for selling "so called music" to masses!
@21sttnmemphis I'm a true rap music fan for years, but I don't understand comments like yours (no offence man). There's a lotta good artists these days, but mass media doesn't "serve" their stuff. Instead of watching/hearing bullshit on tv, I'm buying vinyl records, searching for good stuff, and enjoying the real music. Of course there wont be another Gang Starr in our lifetime, but hip hop music is on a whole different level right now. Real recognize real, u know what Im sayin.
