I used to fly in a friend's Piper Chieftan with twin turbo charged 500 hp (+/- 25hp) flat sixes. On takeoff, at night, you can see the turbos and exhaust glowing orange through the engine nacelles/cowling while the engines are at full power. Very unsettling!

An Allison V-12 will push 1500 reliably. So will a P&W wasp. What you've done is watch a vid or two about a 1500 hp supra and now you have a big wish list.  What they don't tell you is how often they tear that mill down. Quit playin' the fool, McQueen.

good god i know your exhaust gets red hot after running your turbo for a while but not that glowing there had to have been something untold.

You all need to understand that that engine was really loaded up and pushing on some boost to make the manifolds glow off like that. Even a normally aspirated engine will glow the header red like that under long, sustained loads.

What was the HP and TQ and at what RPM. Keep those runs short they put a lot of miles on fast.
