1956--single records were still mostly like this, 12 inch shellac, 78 rpm. I bought this (still have it) but this was the 'B' side, I played the 'A' side to death--it's THE best version of all, from the main theme title of the film ?--yep, 'Reach for the Sky'--fan dooby tastic ! Is it on youtube ? you can buy it all nice and cleaned up on CD now.
This was often used in travelogues that accompanied the main attraction in movie theaters years ago. This is a wonderful gem of a song. Truly inspired.
