once you experience realD in cinema you can't tell stereo3D anymore, I bough stereo glasses and it looks pretty much useless and I tried hard to imagine it's 3D and it's nowhere near 3D plus the reds on the edge are annoying. stereo3D is useless and waste of time, no wonder it died in the 70s.

That are different ones, you need red/cyan glasses for this one.

At Avatar you use polarization filters.

Those are polarized lenses not anaglyphic (red and blue to you)

That's because the ones used for Avatar use polarized lenses, which are the newer technology for 3D viewing and really cool..  Only trouble is you can't use them for home viewing. To view this you need the reg-blue kind (also called red-cyan). The image doesn't look as good as Avatar's 3d of course. This older type of 3d has the color all washed out and is harder to look at.

no - you need to take any video-movies with two cameras (although there is some complicated process to convert 2D into 3D for which you need a converter gadget) to get the 3D effect.

Worked much better than a lot of the other "3d" videos here on youtube. I think a lot of them were made using cheap 3-d web cams that just end up looking like crap. This was much cooler. The fact it was artistic made it mor interesting as well. The best(in the sense of the 3d effect) where towards the middle and end with 1st the 'bubbles' comming out of the hand effect, and then when the filmaker started playing with the lighting.......very cool.

correct. you need a pair of red / cyan glasses to view the two encoded channels separately, and hence a different signal with both eyes. to view the 3D with polarized lenses, you need both the left and right channels to be played on top of each other on separate projectors with polarized filters which correspond with each of the filters in the glasses.

Real D is a company that markets a polarized 3D solution. This is NOT content- rather a viewing technology- and until all computer screens are 3D- then good old anaglyphic RED/CYAN is the ONLY way to view this content on the internet.

Hi there, it does indeed look 3D, it looks black and white but had depth. Get yourself some 3D glasses from ebay or somewhere they are very cheap :) and then you can enjoy it and other 3D clips too ;)
